New player's questions, again

Hi guys. Just discovered this server and, waw, I'm really happy to seeing it. I played a little when the official game was released, long time ago, when I still have hair, basicaly. But, thanks to studies, didn't have so many times to play, so, I'm really wanting to try it here.

But, before jumping in it, I have few questions.

1- How the leveling is doing? I mean, since the pvp have to group player in the same level-tiers, how does it work since we leveling? Can we easilly finding game or, there are not enough player for that?

2- What I remember from the original game is that when you ding your 40th level, you were paired with all the others big player. The gap with the high renown level stuff was pretty insane and it was painfull to still take point to leveling and have better stuff. How it is on this server? Did they found solution for make it smoother?

3- I'm french, living in french and I was wondering about the others players localisations. If the biggest amount is American, seems to be harsh to find player.

4- And, the classic question about classes. I'm more into tanks and the Iron breakers / Black Guard or Chosen / Blazing sun looks good to play and with mechanics. Do you recommand any? Maybe some are bad for now, maybe some are pretty hard to begin with? Also, what about the solo leveling process? Even if the game is on group PVP, I'm pretty sure there will be time when I will have to play solo for the main quest, taking level and all the things. Are tank classes are smooth to leveling?

Thanks for your time.

1. 1-16, 17-39 and 40 play together.

2. Been gear squish, so you are closer, are you equals? No.
With the release of Lost Vale you can be competitive quickly though (though this requires a skilled group).

3. Big French community.

4. Begin with Chosen or KotBS to learn the basics, then continue from there. Troma (french streamer) has guides or links to guides to almost everything you need to know.

Open RVR tiers: 1-15, 16-40
Scenario tiers: 1-15, 16-39, 40

The population is predominantly EU (Old World center).
I believe that French players constitute the majority.

The difference in equipment between BIS players and new players above level 40 is definitely smaller than on the live server.
This is due to:
1. 80 rr is the last level at which you get renown points. Above that, it's just cosmetic stuff. On the live server, you could spend 100 renown points. Also no doomflyer and warpforge gear.
Of course, the difference will be noticeable when you are a fresh level 40 and competing with BIS players, but I always say that I prefer to have a good level 50+ conqueror player in my party than a weak one in sove/trui.
2. Ward system. You can save warcrest for higher level equipment and unlock wards through PvE sets.
3. Warcrests. All currencies have been unified into one warcrest.
4. Bonuses affecting renown gain. In addition to having access to 25% renown pots practically all the time, you now have bonuses for open RvR by earning BO. You can have a 125% bonus to renown practically all the time.
Leveling is now trivial.

No matter which tank you choose, each one is good.
After the tanks patch, there is a very good balance. Each tank is unique and good. Most importantly, each tank now has access to the most important ability, “super punt.”
