Hey everyone, just wanted to throw out a weekend SC idea after being farmed on both sides by premades for the umpteenth time:
SC event “Chaos Winds.” Chaotic winds have engulfed the land, turning ally into enemy, foe into friend, something, something, explanation text.
Event:
• No designated map
Event categories work on any instance, win 5 games, 150 kills etc.
• Disable group queue, solo queue only (2/2/2 when queues pop liked ranked)
• Get paired into SC with people from both sides, like solo ranked
• Double SC weekend event rewards
I think this would be super fun with a very low SC queue time and a ton of SC’s popping all weekend long. Anyway, just a thought, I know the SC team is working on the current state but this would be a cool reprieve while we wait.
Thanks for reading,
SC Event Suggestion

I suggested this very idea months ago during one of the Tothmonra Podcast, and of course all I received in return was scorn, mockery, and open derision. Because that is the way.
However it is a good idea, and you are right to suggest it, particularly given the current population numbers. The question is simple. If Ranked Solo could operate off a system which pulled group members from both sides, which it undeniably did, why couldn't that system be applied to another SC? Or all of them?

Re: SC Event Suggestion
im wondering if i have a chosen and kobs in same group are their aura stacking ? same for rp/dok
Re: SC Event Suggestion
alternatively all of the people who complain about SCs should queue for the existing solo queue mode or join/form a group to queue with so you can learn smallscale/SC gameplay properly
some will say "but solo skirmish mode is dead, we can't queue it to get the authentic solo queue experience!". this confuses me, since we have almost daily threads about how evil premades are and how bad SCs are when in fact the solo queue option is right there. i guess it is a vocal minority making all those posts or something. because if that many people actually felt the way that the forums seem to dictate then i would imagine solo skirmish would be a thriving gamemode
as for pairing both sides together, i think this would cause a lot of outrage and isn't conducive with the basic game design (realm v realm, the opposite sides are definitely not friends). all the realm priders would have a full on mental breakdown complete with straight jacket and 90 day court ordered asylum visit if they were paired with a choppa while on their runepriest. yes, it was done for ranked that was a countermeasure to solo ranked dying and it didn't help as we can see. as well as the ranked community environment is MUCH different than the overall population, most of them are playing both sides and don't have much realm pride so they don't mind mixing so it "worked" a bit better there
i think the singular best and fastest change would just be to add solo skirmish queue versions of weekend event SCs, so players could complete the weekend event via solo queueing. no matchmaking changes or wild changes really need to be done, simply this would cure a lot and likely for little to no effort to implement

Re: SC Event Suggestion
Good luck finishing ur weekend SC que just for solo skirmish, u get only punished in every way when playing solo, no friends etc.. People still try to defend that system are beyond my imagination. But making SCs even worse for Solo is somehow easy, take away guards, put barriers in SCs and force people to get out to get farmed. Yeah was unfair for preamdes that they were camping Spawn and not doing obj. and they couldnt kill some players who hide in spawn, or even worse they could die to guards.
Re: SC Event Suggestion
Current state of SCs is just the worst and like I say for years, 90% of new Players quit this game for exactly the same reason. No friends, want to learn somehow the game, queing SCs and getting farmed for 20+ games, mayebe lucky one game between where they could at least fight back a bit.
Re: SC Event Suggestion
I think your last comment is spot on. I don't see why the SC event isn't the only available map for solo skirmish. If that were an option, I think there would be a lot more people choosing solo skirmish to complete the weekend SC.gersy wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 4:26 pm alternatively all of the people who complain about SCs should queue for the existing solo queue mode or join/form a group to queue with so you can learn smallscale/SC gameplay properly

My suggestion for having players on both sides was to increase the likelihood of setting up 2/2/2.
Lastly, the devs could give us the answer on the proportion of how people engage in weekend sc. We could find out the true percentage of players who queue solo, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 man by releasing that data.

agree with rest of the post, but ill comment on this exact part:gersy wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 4:26 pm i think the singular best and fastest change would just be to add solo skirmish queue versions of weekend event SCs, so players could complete the weekend event via solo queueing. no matchmaking changes or wild changes really need to be done, simply this would cure a lot and likely for little to no effort to implement
they complain cause they getting stomped. solo skirm or not, stomp wont be gone, it would require 2-3 geared people (sometimes even 1, somehow supported DPS) with brains to delete opposing team if it has no such players.
inb4 what will happen:
- premades solo q to get us stomped (already been there, mighty reason to remove most astonishingly great game play mode of duo discordant nothing so great was there in game to do as duo)
- realm X is OP, cause i lost 10 scs in a row
to prevent stomps there has to be some fair comeback mechanics, or complainers should do just like everyone else who is not complaining did - deal with it, adapt, overcome.
Oh, i would really love such data to appear. It will make a big fat "point" into all the mystifications that dwell the forums.Anderlin wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 4:59 pm Lastly, the devs could give us the answer on the proportion of how people engage in weekend sc.
