Hey all,
I was just running an RvR group in Tier 4 last night, fighting tooth and nail to hold a keep, and the whole chaotic, muddy, and desperate atmosphere made me think: What movie or TV show actually nails the feeling of playing Return of Reckoning/Warhammer Fantasy?
When I say that, I don't mean just any generic fantasy setting with a few dragons. I mean the specific grim, hopeless, and brutal vibe of the Warhammer world—where even the good guys are pretty messed up, and victory always feels temporary.
For me, it has to be the Game of Thrones, specifically the "Battle of the Bastards" episode. The way they show the constant political backstabbing mixed with truly brutal, grounded combat feels exactly like the struggle between Order and Destruction, especially when the lines are blurry and you're just a small part of a massive, terrifying clash.
I'm curious what everyone else sees!
Is it the massive scale of a battle from Lord of the Rings?
The dark atmosphere of The Witcher?
Or maybe something totally obscure that just has that perfect "Chaos" feeling?

Does it have to be fantasy? Would put up The Name of the Rose, which is basically a murder mystery set around medieval times and explores those themes.
Movies set historically in the 16th century era where muskets are becoming more of a thing might fit the bill too. Sharpe might be bit too modern and too heroic, needs more peasant feeling to things.
