Hey all, im looking for a good solo SnB build. And i have some question.

Is regen equipment can be usefull ?
What sheild and weapon i should use?
And what is your renown choice ?

What I use :

SnB for Wb
SnB for Solo (edited to 70+)

Regen equipment is not just useful, it is mandatory for solo
Best shield and weapon = Fortress, meanwhile Anathema or BB dungeon rewards
Renown : check other post linked above; full reflexes + both defender and rest FS / impetus
You can also try full regeneration renown but you lose a lot
About gear, aim for the higher % to block possible (or % parry for 2h)
My advice for solo (both 2h or SnB), always pick : Quake / Dreadful terror / Siphoned Energy + Power from the gods tactics (infinite AP)

If you plan to roam in high populated rvr, SnB is fine, if you prefer 1v1 / small fights, I'd say go 2h
The best utility of SnB is to guard so try to team up with someone

For example:
Marauder heals himself for around 170–180. If you go for a Regen Build, it can go up to 300.
On Chosen, the Regen Build is currently useless — the last time I tested it, it could only heal for 36 or 39. Whether you use a regen build or not, it won’t go above 36/39. If you invest in willpower, it might increase slightly.
Chosen is trash, unfortunately...
It only has the "Corruptive Power" tactic — but that forces you to play offensively, and in that case, you usually die before the person you're guarding...
It’s an unbalanced, offensive character. Just play Black Guard instead, don’t waste your time.
Hopefully it gets fixed.

Can't compare to monstro mara, still chosen can go to 160+ Health regen
The regen build is totally useless everywhere, except for solo roam
If you use potions (wich is sadly necessary in solo), you can skip full regen and opt more tanky/dps
Willpower is for healing spells, I don't think it will boost regen/s (?)

Corruptive power is a tactic for warbands and you won't die first once you reach rr60+
If we focus on solo roaming as a tank, regen build might be best for BO
BG is also my fav tank, yet chosen can be pretty fun in a 2h regen spec
As for solo roaming in RvR with SnB, it's fine if you want to mess around in small fights but you won't kill much
SnB shines when you guard someone, even if chosen is not the best at it, he still works pretty well

If only dps WP didn't get this much boosted, chosen can mangage fights against all nooby mdps in 1v1

Join RvR solo with a Chosen (2Hand) and play with a regen build — then post a screenshot here so we can see how much you're actually healing yourself.

Potions or the +Riposte tactic are only used in 1v1s by inexperienced players. If your opponent is a seasoned veteran, they make a conscious effort not to use potions.

Corruptive Power is a solid tactic, but Chosen needs to deal critical damage — and that requires offensive play.
If you're wearing a DEF set (Sovereign 4 / Triumphant 5), the 4/5-piece bonus gives block, which is useless with a 2H weapon.
So playing offensively in defensive gear doesn’t work. You’d have to build your own hybrid DEF set from scratch.

I could write you an encyclopedia on Chosen, but I don't have the time.
If a Chosen can’t hold their own in RvR solo against 1v2 DPS (or sometimes even 1v3), then that class is trash.

Also, there’s currently no warband operating at 100% efficiency.
Right now, only Discord-organized pug warbands are active.
What we define as a “warband” is a group led by a leader and their lieutenants, who know the strengths and roles of every player.
They dictate what needs to be done — tactics, buffs, and abilities to be used. If necessary, they go out into open terrain to develop tactics and strategies, and then go on to fight other organized warbands in proper 24 vs 24 battles, where the real enjoyment lies.
Such well-organized warbands can reach the quality and strength needed to take on 1v2 or even 1v3 warbands.
What I’m seeing right now is: whichever side has more numbers, wins.

I don’t even want to start talking about DPS WP and DoK.
We’re in a period where most DPS classes can’t even perform as proper DPS, and then there’s DPS DoK and WP... I’d rather not say anything.
I love the game, and I appreciate that there’s still an active service running.
Sitting behind a keyboard and criticizing everything is the easiest thing to do — we need to give it time.
Every era has its shining classes, and eventually the balance shifts again.
The real issue is, valuable players didn’t just quit the game — they deleted their accounts entirely.

Regen, as in HP/4s is not affected by any stat or (de)buff in the game currently.

As for Chosen's Aura Corrupting Retribution; the healing proc on defense: It does not scale with Willpower/Healing Power or with Strength/Melee Power for that matter. It has a base value that scales only with the level of the ability (which is a function of the mastery points you have in that tree). Since it also is a proc, that means that it's also not affected by %heal increases such as Zealot's Blessing of Chaos or Chosen's Embrace the Winds tactic.

Chosen will pretty much beat all Order melee (tanks and mdps) except swordmaster, a good SM beats chosen with good timed flanking maneuvers.

Chosen can manage 900-1k toughness and high anti crit vs a WP it will win. Not to mention WP is bad solo toon in general since everything ranged can kite it so easily. It only works vs melee.
