[Shaman] Fresh 40 Shaman gear options

Hi all,

I'm just making my way through the SC grind and will hit lv 40 with prob similiar RR. I plan to get an int and willpower set:

1. Probably the best rather easy to get the full bloodlord set with genesis crystals and fill up with dominator and opressor?

2. Mix Sentinel + Vanq for healing? Or maybe Valewalker.

Any other reasonable fast to get sets I missed?

Looking forward to any advice :).

Go full vale-walker for healing. With LoTD jewelry and cloak and genesis jewelries.
Save crest until you can buy full sov

6pc Vanquisher is the best you can get easily when lowbie. 4pc + 6pc bonuses are the ones that make HUGE difference. There is still synergy left here luckily=) With Proc like Quickening and 6pc vanquisher proc makes 2.5s grp heal 1.7s!

Vanq up to end gear
A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

Thanks for the advice:

So basically 6 piece vanq + sentinel/vale-walker + genesis?

What would you pair bloodlord with for dps shammy?

And are hybrid builds actually a thing  ?

I wouldn't bother with vanquisher personally. Yes, it is a good healing set, with good bonuses, but it still costs crests, crest you'll want to save. Of course its pure personal preference, but you'll be nearly as good in sentinel.

Personally, I would go:

6 Sentinel + 3 Beastlord (cloak, jewel, pocket) - you'll have good HP, willpower, and heal crit chance. Combine with 2x genesis for a very solid healing build. Augment with HV if you can get it, but HV groups are harder to come by. Put healcrit talisman in the sent jewel.

then

Bloodlord + LotD Cloak and Jewel - this does pretty decent damage. Mix int / wound talismans in your gear, and +magic power talisman in sentinel jewel. 2x genesis of the scholar for more int. You will be squishier with this build compared to sent build, but you'll do pretty decent damage in pvp.

Hybrid builds are definitely a thing. I go full DPS gear, but I still spec for FodG. Going deep into the green tree increases 2 of your DoTs, and your bubble, all of which are essential parts of a DPS shamans arsenal. Especially solo / small scale, you spend so much time kiting that any skills with a cast time just can't be used much.

Mixing Sentinel and Vanquisher is a strong healing-focused option, giving you a nice balance of survivability and group utility.

With the recent event and revamp of HV, I finally got round to completing the HV set on my shaman.

5 HV + 3 Sent turns out to be a BIG upgrade over 6 sent + 3 beastlord. Its given me about 100 more willpower and 1500 more hp whilst still having good armor and heal crit.
