What exactly give level 80 ?

It is 100% that it was a hidden buff on Official servers.

It was +1 hidden "almost career" level for each 4 rr to 100(84-88-92-96-100) and it counts in some formulas where was "effective" level.

Correct and we never had "virtual ranks" in ROR. This was entirely a live server thing.
Bolster ranks you up to 40, that's it.

lol so they changed max rr 80 to mean nothing but 1 renown point? :E why? Bolster exists so this hidden lvl shouldnt be an issue imo but oh well. At this point just make all abilities and 31 skill points available to everyone who is r40rr40.

I havent had rr 80 Chars for a long time in RoR : D Current accounts one destro one order 0 rr80 and everyone only solo rvr or solo que and RoR takes away renown + pops if you que solo and dont participate in zerg it takes literally some full days to be played to get rr60-70 if you start with r40rr3x like i did or from beginning.

Sometimes you get insane amounts of rr with aao solo but that was before all the nerfs and no punishin mechanics to renown at all. 8k killing rr 70 as rr60 11k even 16k ive think ive gotten but thats yeeaaarrs ago, that kind of renown is now dedication... But to answer to your question ive assumed rr80 functioned like it did in aor giving you +1 hidden passive to all careers and it effectively read you as lvl 41. Your skills read 41 if you were rr80 even before rr 100 patch,

After that every 4 rr would give 1 "hidden" lvl rr84=42 rr88=43 rr92=44 rr96=45 rr100 = 46lvl . And for like first year these hidden lvls itself were insane power. rr92 Choppa in defensive Sovereign but otherwise full dps vs rr 84 Dps Wp = Wp dies everytime without a chance. And when we both were rr80, i never lost to him in same gear he had when he was rr 92. And in both Off/Def that first iteration of Doomflayer Power was insane, 900dmg/1400selfheal proc on being hit 10% and always that amount

They luckily nerfed the power of hidden lvls and bolstered

When did that get lowered? It was 48 for the longest time with the following levels <=31=48, 32=47, 33=46, 34=45, 35=44 36=43, 37=42, 38=42, 39=41, 40=40 (no bolster). At least that what showed on your char icon.

In am almost 80, so I wonder why exactly 80 is that important?
What bonuses it gives, let's say copmare to 78-79 ?

Will it be mail from ROR team? what is inside?

When you hit rr80, you get server wide center screen message about it, and in mail you get a quest, which rewards you 80 warcrests, some potions (heal, AP, armor etc.), 2 guild coins and a couple of stawlwart stones, IIRC.

Edit: and of course the last renown point. Miniscule importance versus ranks 78-79.

That's a shame. lvl31 in full devatator used to be able to kill sov players rather easily and give them hope because of the super bolster.

please check your records - there is no addition Renown Point at lvl80
