Re: What exactly give level 80 ?
When you are rr80 you are lvl 41. You get hidden/passive +1 to all career paths/abilities. If you have 15points in one path, lets say as a WH/WELF Your Iniative De/Buff is 120 if you are not rr80 but if you are then its 128. This is why all lvl 40 but under rr 50 Should be Bolstered to lvl 41 to have some chance/hope.
This is not correct information. -Rydiak

Unsure if this ever was the case in RoR, but currently RR80 just gives you 1 Renown Point to spend, same as the 79 previous renown ranks before it.
It it the final renown point upgrade, however. The ability level for all abilities just scales off your Career rank (player level).

When getting level 70, you got additional renown point, and one mastery point.
Levels 71 to 80, you got one renown point each renown rank.
Getting to 80 is not especially better than 78-79 (when 78 you got access to all end-game gear anyway), but the 80th renown point can allow you to unlock certain renown-build, especially if you aim for specs with 5-10-20 needed points each.
Renown rank is not increasing your skills efficiency, other than giving you an additional mastery point at levels 40, 50, 60 and 70.

Re: What exactly give level 80 ?
lol so they changed max rr 80 to mean nothing but 1 renown point? :E why? Bolster exists so this hidden lvl shouldnt be an issue imo but oh well. At this point just make all abilities and 31 skill points available to everyone who is r40rr40.
