Re: Female marauders

I would have loved the idea of female marauders. As for modifying any part of the characters, could we not make skins for the mara/slayer? Would this be something of a too-big project, or something that we could do on our side (PC, non-client) that others couldn't see but we could have our own private giggles?

Ah well. One of these days I'll play with Blender or w/e a bit more.

Sorry for opening a dead post.
But yeah I'd love the idea.
But this is an insane amount of work.
I think you could use the female Magus/Zealot model (asuming they are the same) for the entire thing.
Adjust the pose to make her a bit more menacing.
And hopefully have that skelleton adept to all the existing animations.
With small adjustments that should be decently easily accomplishable.
Atleast... if the game is rigged correctly, which is a big question for a game made in the early 2000's

But even then it requires alot of redesign of all the armor sets including the modification of multitude of arms available that also slowly grow as you get more powerfull.
The arms is probably the least of the worries. But all the armor seems like a incredibly big task!!!

Reusing animations is not something that is fairly new. Pretty Confident about DoK not being able to wield shields before.
Idk if that was added in a update by RoR or that its a late update from AoE when i didnt play anymore.
But they just gave it Black Guard Animations.

Also Black Guards originally didnt have females if i remember correctly which got added in later on too.
Once again NO CLUE, if this was done by RoR or the original game tho

Very easy, since female slayers look exactly like male slayers, same midget beard included.

Nope, they don't. Female dwarf models do exist though (at least, in this version of warhammer) - and they DO NOT have a beard - and no, i do not think they would shave it if they did - after all, for a dwarf to have your beard shaved is .....well, GRUDGIN!!!111ARGHHTREwtrhdjhg. War of the Beard and all that stuff...
