Solo Kotbs...good idea ?

Hello to you, lovers of big swords! I'm looking to start a solo career and was wondering if the KotBS is a class with enough tools for this type of gameplay. I usually solo on my Slayer or Sorcerer, so it's pretty obvious that, yes, I do love leather. For now, I'm just starting out, and I quite like the style of the class. I'm aiming more for solo play with a two-handed weapon because the s&b regen spec seems like a fight against falling asleep.

Honestly If you want solo tank on Order with a big stick i would advice the SM(Swordmaster). Knight has no dps and IB 2h is nerfed(devs where is our grumble n mutter?).

Otherwise you got the Chosen on the destro side with a similar playstyle but much superior to the kotbs.

Can try something like this I guess:

Your parry ain't great anyway as 2h on kotb, so concentrate on toughness+ absorb for defense. Unlike parry, it also works vs ranged as well.

A lot of your dmg will be Shield of the Sun with tactics. Also make sure to keep 3 stack Blazing Blade on the opponent. Use Heaven's Fury to help catch kiters, and also get 2h weapon with a run speed proc. In addition also getting Quick Escape 1 on top wouldn't hurt.

Auras resists, All Out Assault, and for the last one will need to experiment- there is On Your Guard, but with no points in the tree dmg will be somewhat limited. Can also try the ap aura- will help keeping pressure. There is also str aura- not only it adds to your dmg, but you will also take less dmg cause of str debuff. And then there is the heal debuff aura.

Your filler will be Precision Strike. And try to get a decent ws in general, especially that kotb abilities don't scale all that well with str.
