It's honestly silly that the original developers of this game ever locked classes to certain genders. I want the freedom to make the character I want and not be boxed in by arbitrary, outdated constraints!
Before anyone starts, the "lore accuracy" argument is invalid because there are instances of female slayers, female Chaos Chosen, etc. all over the place in novels. I suspect they only stuck to genders that are represented on the tabletop, but honestly that's pretty ridiculous. The Old World is so much bigger than what you see in the miniature ranges!
I'm not sure what kind of art resources/bandwidth the team has access to, but it would be cool to see an expansion of role-play opportunities through improved character creation. I also recognize this would be a sizable project for a pretty small return, but I think it's worth the effort to update the character art to include options beyond these disappointingly rigid restrictions. I propose an update to character models and art to include the following:
-Female Slayer (present in novels)
-Male Witch Elf (Call it an Assassin, if you must. Those even have Old World models!)
-Female Chaos Chosen (common in novels)
-Female Marauder (women can mutate too #girlboss)
Are there other character creation options or RP-focused improvements you'd like to see implemented alongside this? Such as a set of Goblin/Orc buttons for the greenskins in place of gender options (funny, but obviously unnecessary), or maybe expanded tattoo colors?

Re: Expand Character Gender Options
Devs should definitely NOT spend any resources on this idea.
There are more important things to focus on.

Re: Expand Character Gender Options
Do you even realize how much work this would be? Missing models for players and every gear, new animations for everything? Absolutely not worth the effort nor time.

I'd like to role-play as a squig herder or white lion whose pet listens to his (or her) commands.nexudude wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 9:09 pm Are there other character creation options or RP-focused improvements you'd like to see implemented alongside this? Maybe the bugged pet is just roleplay, I mean, it's a cat, and now it acts like the normal cat and just ignores it's ownergeorgehabadasher wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 9:24 amI'd like to role-play as a squig herder or white lion whose pet listens to his (or her) commands.nexudude wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 9:09 pm Are there other character creation options or RP-focused improvements you'd like to see implemented alongside this?
