I had a pretty decent play session testing these concepts out. I will say, at least at my current level (40/46), Dragon Gun still feels quite underwhelming, I can definitely feel that the bones of it are good, but it requires a bit more support to come online (at least from my early perspective.)gersy wrote: Tue Nov 05, 2024 3:13 pm This is precisely how Abso spam builds work for the most part, yes. Although I wouldn't run Sever Nerve unless your target is a solo caster, which you'd probably quick swap to Exoneration for anyway depending on the class. Confusing Movements is typically superior for all-around gameplay since we can't always guaranteed a quick swap to another morale pre-combat or guarantee we won't get 3rd partied while 1v1ing.
Sanctified Bullets got super nerfed some patches ago so I'm not sure if it's worth the tactic slot anymore honestly. It heals for such a pitiful amount nowadays especially with fewer points in left tree or against any target with a spirit resistance buff. Since you made the calculators for 40rr I assume you don't have the points to spend elsewhere so the BAL variant is going to be a bit weaker overall until 60/70rr when you can pick up Repel and/or Shroud.
Typically for BAL abso spam you want to run 6sov/3sent for +2 bonus and your build looks like this.
However, the BaL Abso build was actually performing quite incredibly, previous to this I had been operating with a single-minded focus on BaL and Torment and just maximising the outcomes there, along with supporting AA's. This previous build was Good but the burst window was quite small.
With the Abso changes (yes, still very proc dependent) I had an absolutely filthy kill last night on a zealot, with near 1k tick crit (not final tick) on BaL, again a near 1k crit on Torment, followed up by a 700 abso and then a massive 1500 abso crit. (The numbers listed here are all loose approximations but damage numbers were all 1k+).
(EDIT: I didn't account for resistances in the above just by-the-by)
I definitely agree that Sanctified Bullets is just sadly, really not worth the Tactic slot. I had hoped that it might provide some extra durability allowing for more back-to-back engagements but routinely only netting 200hp per execution just felt miserable. Now that I'm without bolster, I think I will simply replace the Sanctified Bullets slot with Brute Force.
That build looks really good Gersy and will definitely be something I'll aim for as I progress. Lamentably, I think I'm still a very, very, very long way from Sov
