the exactly numbers, if double, tripple or whatever, can be adjusted. and it also could be just a part of the change, like for example: general renown x2, renown pot from +25% to +50%, leecher Standart buf from +5% to +10% and so on... all things together would implement a huge raise of renown gain allready.

I would also add to the above that the argument given by adherents of slow development is that players, having achieved what they want, abandon this character and therefore his path should be difficult and long. The erroneous conclusion lies in its essence. They give up precisely because of very long development, when the character is simply fed up, and the final goal was already the end point of this path.

Na I just did it via premades my entire time then and now. The gear isn't what makes premades unkillable.. it's that they're a premades. Further more since you don't seem to know anything about me. Do you think all I have is 1 RR90+ toon? Nothing else? Do you think my alts just boom get created and have instant sov? My slayer is my only toon who is "bis". 82 Engi still in Vanq,80 AM still in oppressor/vanq. 70 Sm still in Vanq. And about 8 other toons that some are 40 and some still sub 40. Think these toons don't fight against same people ur fighting? Get outta my way with that pitty party.

First, let me say that I'm happy for you that you have all those alts. Not sure if you're like most players in this game, but if you are, then when you start losing on an alt, you just log your main.

Second, if rr80 players are so much better, then why do they need such a massive gear advantage. They should be able to win with equal gear. Because they're just better.

So, your position is: everything is fine, because it fits for you, personlay. Ok, we got it.
What i can get out of your post is, that you seem to have a lot of time that you are able to invest in the game. Wich other people dont have. And this discussion is not about " skill > gear or not", thats not the topic. Its about: how can this game be more interesting to new and old players, who dont got that much time like you got, on average. Could the raise of renown and crest be a solution. And i know from first hand experience, that the main thing with a deterrent effect, is the eternal grind, and that progress takes too much time.

I think, to find a solution for the problem of melting server poulation is in every players interest. In yours as well. Cause i dont think that you want to level up your toons alone on an empty server, with a hand full of people with the same amount of time that you got

actually I enjoy ur response. well created and well worded so appreciate it. To answer first, I agree the game needs to be as accessible as can be 'WHILE " still requiring actual play time. Do I think people are gonna dedicate 40hrs a week to play RoR? Hell no. And no way do I feel "just because I do, doesnt mean everyone else should either" My point has always been, this server has been changed so much to help new and returning payers get and gain gear vs the "grind" it was. At some point its just gotta be what it is before it loses any point to work at anything. Now if players want instant gear there are games that give you basic game gear at creation. i dont want this game to ever become a mmo looter shooter more than already is imo. I appreciate ur response as I stated, so ty.

yes, i can understand that. but i dont request a full sov set in any beginners backpack ;) all i try to find here are some kind of adjusting screws, to turn in the right direction. i also dont got the masterplan. But i think that there are some things that still can be done, to improve a satisfying and less grindy gaming experience of RoR. And like i said, i think the direction must be a more rewarding and quicker progress, to hold people here. How quick, and how rewarding exactly, is not on me to decide, i just try to point on some things that could be done.

yeah, destructive critic is always expedient... so what is your proposal to make things better? It is just one among other possibilities. Remember, we didnt had that implemented until the fortress was implemented and nobody really wanted - or was able to do it. It was a means of force, to bring people in the fortress, wich failed, and leaded to that many people were stucked in gear, cause progress was barely possible if not not 24/7 online.
Everything is fine with this proposal it will be very good for progression...for the other side.

There is no need to provide a proposal for a working system to criticize a bad idea. Why is it a bad idea? Cause there will be people with sourverign gear or close to, there will be poeple still investing in sets, and they would shredd their way through ungeard unexperienced players. And this would not only affect these players, but also the players around them have to deal with them. I don't say the system is perfect, but is working, with a little time investment you don't need to spend any crests on gear once you hit r30 and still can get gear that gives you wards and at least a little bit of usefulness in a group/warband
