Mdps VS Rdps - mdps detaunt needed
Ok rdps dish out far more damage than melee ( putting aside wh/we) they also have every tool in the box to shutdown melee and maintain their range. Give melee dps a 100ft ST detaunt and then they may have a chance against all the over tuned range on both sides - thats it - a very simple suggestion to help mdps stop being free kills for ranged

What you need is a tank or a healer, not another detaunt. Furthermore, melee deal quite some more damage once they get into melee range with AA on top of all abilities. Doesnt convince me - you see some ranged guy targeting you why not have a detaunt?- its not like you can do anything to them anyway - try to close the gap youll be dead before you get 20 ft

Devs wants u to play rdps.Roll a shaman or am and go dps ,even better go hybrid and make people cry on forum.Or go fotm squig / sw and farm crests like there is no tomorrow.Once the weapons skill patch hits i will park my 6 tanks and dedicate myself to shaman dps / sw.

You are not supposed to have a range detaunt, since you are meant to play in melee range. It's up to you how you get into melee range. If you want to play solo, pick a different class or adjust how you play.

just play rdps, if you cant beat them join them, thers no reason to play mdps at this point of the game.

As mdps you have a tactic that reduces ranged damage on you by 25%

For dodge and disrupt, only the morale and 100% avoidance abilities helping, a bit, otherwise u live 1-2 seconds more, with 100% you live 7 seconds more if u have morale 1 dodge and 100% disrupt ability.
I have just invested all i could as a WE, all renown points in anticrit, dodge, disrupt and initiative, close combat tactic, spirit resist tactic, doesn't matter. The amount of ranged players will defeat you anyway.

Lack of shield tanks and/or lack of tanks that guard in general. This can somewhat be attributed to lower population and variety in general unfortunately. As numbers of tanks that guard decline. People resort to playing classes that are more self suffiecent in order to stay alive a just a little bit longer to so they are not killed as quickly. Thus I believe we see shaman /AM and ranged in general in greater numbers percentage wise. And now we are beginning to see people wanting class changes so they can survive a little bit longer without a tank guarding them. I could be completely wrong but people will do what they need to if they want to play the game at all.
