Has there been a change with regard to chasing after an enemy toon, and not being able to swing at them? The look of it is that you begin to swing at the toon you're chasing, but your toon's arm stops half way and pulls back. In effect you're unable to swing your weapon at them, ie you cannot attack them.
And on my choppa toon and also on my BO toon, I find that I run slower on both toons than every Order toon. So the effect is, I run behind the enemy Order toon and cannot swing at them and so cannot slow them down, and so we laughably just keep on running, me a step behind them. I've literally run across the t2 rvr map trailing a step behind the Order toon and unable to do anything about it.
Has there been a change recently? As I just noticed this starting about a week or two ago.
If anyone knows about this, then please advise.
Thanks.

A lot of games have this problem or had it at some point. Warhammer had it for a few years, Wildstar had it for a year, WoW had it for a while. RoR has it as well... just gotta deal with it for now and hope something changes in the future.

Re: Chasing an enemy toon - unable to swing choppa??
This problem exists since the devs fixed the melee range (problem where melee abilitie cooldowns ruined off without hitting the target). its a thing we have to deal with now, we need to try to slow targets constantly to place our hits on them
Re: Chasing an enemy toon - unable to swing choppa??
The problem is that the hitbox for the char. is to small + you have the lag so sometimes the toons are warping and (player cry speedhack). the hitbox needs to be bigger, was the same on live

As a Black Orc I can tell you it's beyond frustrating, but devs are aware of it.
So wait & see.

Re: Chasing an enemy toon - unable to swing choppa??
It has to both do with server lag and the actual melee range of abilities due to small hitboxes. With Order characters being pretty small and nimble by default it sorta makes sense that an Orc can't keep up with that, yet it's completely unfair and thus has to be fixed.

Re: Chasing an enemy toon - unable to swing choppa??
ya because order are the only ones with slim and small races. The problem exists on both sides and it got nothing to do with the size of figures. my hits are missing a big fat ork as much as a lil sneaky goblin
Re: Chasing an enemy toon - unable to swing choppa??
Larger characters will seem like they are running slower when in fact they are running at the same speed. It's just the animations. Unless I'm terribly wrong and WAR has different base speeds for certain classes?Shutyergob wrote:
