I would suggest going 2h but playing as a Tank still. Build for tanking, not for dpsing, even if u are using a big ass sword/axe, and then set up your team for success.

Guard, Guard Swap, watch the damn screen so you can counter-play the enemy with CCs, punt away your target's Guard, follow the person you're Guarding instead of doing ur own thing (you can step away once u learn when you're allowed to). These things are more impactful and more engaging than being a mediocre DPS, imo.

dont go 2h tank it will get you killed 2h tank is garbage for everything but premade SCs & even then you will need a SnB in that SC premade, 2h tank is a dead old meta so dont even bother with it
people that think you can dps as 2h tank are delusional all you do is put strain on the healers & you require a guard most of the time as you have no disrupt or block to counter range or magic dps

only tanks you see solo as 2h are best in slot & stack so much regen they do no damage & rely on spirit damage to carry them as they only have parry so they are useless vs good range & magic classes so dont bother with 2h its a joke go SnB stack strength toughness wounds (get those 3 to 700 1k 900 then stack block & parry with some regen bits like sent chest & slot 3 ring regen tailsman but if you want to be a free kill by all means go 2h im sure everyone killing you will appreciate it

best thing you can do is just log in & play & watch for people playing the class you like & if they have the same play style as you & are effective send them a /tell & inspect them & start a conversation most good players that main a class & have a play style you like will share some insight you can learn from

You might add going with shield at lower ranks since there are several good shield exclusive skills and not many 2h exclusive ones early on.
At lvl 35 with punt tactic it will be worth to go 2h in t2-3 sc.
Until you have some basic gear for t4, shield is no bad pick either or the enemy will just kill you first.
Seeing too many fresh t4 2h tanks with merc set and str talismans lately and it's a pain to watch.

nope what RoR needs is people to stop xrealming during sieges & joining the side with more numbers to farm bags or discord WBs flipping before a fort to farm PuGs & small guilds or starting a fort to just leave & go flip a zone for a free bag & leave the other side in a fort for 20min so they only get 1 crest & 100 rr while they go flip zones for bags doing PvD the list goes on with this player base

Devs will tend to this when they finally play alone with those 100 ppl that wont quit the game. Absolute player count peaks at 650-700 on weekend nights atm. I rly dont know what more must happen before they realize they beat the game to death here. Hope Im wrong and we can all play a good warhammer ror in the future but Im not confident anymore. Sad time for warhammer mmo fans.

Although I don't have numbers, I would agree that there appears to be more healers on order and tanks on desto. I think it comes down to the looks, order healers look cooler than destro healers, desto tanks look cooler than order tanks.

Honestly though, don't worry about the realm and play whatever class you enjoy the most. If you choose to play a tank or healer and get good at it you'll always find a spot in a group.
