I know some think Ror should be RVR and SC oriented but many of us like to farm and trade (sell) stuff at the AH. Whatever stuff I'm selling !

This part of game is dead and many complaining that newcomer can't have the same gear as "oldtimer". Btw, having +20 ballistik or only +10 makes a difference (x4) ! I'm here since the start (so i'm stuffed) BUT my part of the game is dead (having fun farming)... Ok, I love RVR but I hate farming sc

I thank the devs for all the work but devs should not closing pve because of some duper... Cheaters are in every game.
Hero's, champion's,etc are part of W.a.r.hammer. Killing them should bring some reward, even low monsters, so please don't let this die.

What kind of gear are You talking? If newcomers spend some time in PvE and farm for gold, they can afford same gear as I am wearing.
If You talking about WoE/RS gear, its only for people blessed with RNG God .-)

My post was simply to have some, i.e., may be 1 valuable loot in 1 hour but as said, PVE will be revised. End of drama.

LoL, this right here so much! I'm not gouging the server because it truly was one of WAR's biggest flaws to me on live. Having loved playing DAoC and enjoyed the PvE content in that game for many years, WAR's AI/PvE system was a joke to me in comparison.

I love to PvE, don't get me wrong, but PvEing in WAR never tickled my fancy.

I do understand the reason why PVE is in WAR. One main purpose I can imagine is to level up to acceptable level along with gears. There is Bolster buff, but I found it too primitive. There is Warbands or group that is picky what level I am currently on my toons. If they see me around R12 and knew I don't have the right gear to carry my weight for warbands. If I feel like I wan to play PVE, I just go to WoW/Rift/insertPVEmmo (dang it Blizzard stop making expansion!). One reason why I felt that WAR lost it touch with LOTD. It seem exciting to add a new map however, Last time I check WAR website, It is RVR game. By using wayback archive and found the devs team quote from warhammeronline.com that is perfect for this thread

That it! there is no grey area of what WAR is. It is RvR. When someone made a post about asking to not letting PVE die is very insulting to the ideal of Mythic Team who work so hard to bring this amazing RvR game for everyone. One of the issue with Mythic that they need to listen to other crowd as in PVE crowd. They the one who enjoy the game but want to add more PVE content to grinding. And the unfortunate content is Land of the Dead. I imagine it is EA pressured the team to push this.

I prefer to keep PVE content minimal as it is and encourage players to join ORvR and SC to have fun instead of hiding somewhere to grind some gear

I was doing PvE in WAR (when it was worth doing - before they screwed it by making rvr sets very easy to obtain and making other gear than rvr one useless). Most quests had some nice background story. Though only quests that were kinda great were t4 epic quests (no move to the south, kill X, return to me and get some exp and useless piece of gear) that required you to change zones a lot, travel across whole map but it was greatly written with some nice weapon (stats+proc+epic for alternate appearance).

Only pve that might be worth to have in WAR atm are PQs. Sure some are just kill X mobs, then kill X champs, then kill 1 here and voila its done. But some were hard to do and required you to work hard for it - for instance that t1 chaos one where u had to keep huts burning for some time and kill any champs that were with water and kill lord at the end that was able to wipe whole grp in instant.

days lol it takes month to reach a 100 gold. without pve drop, the only way to sell something valuable and reach the crazy prices in auction house.
please admit that newplayers without pve drop cannot stuff them self at the moment.
not many people can play war 10 hours a day.
and they start to be frustrated cause there is a real difference between murderer, woe gear than butcher and calamitous.
we gonna loose casual people, so most of our community who can only play an hour a day or few hours during weekend.
that s a fact!!!
so think global, more people comes to play on the server more fun we ve got.

if people like farming what s the problem, like karib said one hour of farming with drop can help casual people to buy horses and gear. i really don t see where is the problem. it really helps our community to stay balanced between hardcore gamers and casual gamers.
please don t make them leave war cause of frustration.

epik stuff is so rare now than the prices have increase.
imagine a casual player, who can only earn money in pve, how many days to reach the amount for special gears?
if you put drop in pve they re will be more epik gear in auction house, more gear to sell, so cheaper they will be, so less time to farm in pve and by extention more people in orvr.
have you seen thoses last weeks how orvr is empty, evryone queues for scenario, that s it!!!
so with no pve, no orvr, game doesn t become smaller than before?
sure i would prefer to loot pve good stuff in lairs, qps or instances than farmed stupid mobs but it will take some times to have a full developped war. like everyone i prefer play in orvr or scenarios and i 100% prefer than all the developpement goes to orvr in priority, THAT S WAR!!!
but for an alpha phase you need to find a way than everyone can stuff, and buy horse, even with few hours a week of playing. it s better than to be smashed by older players, or hardcore gamers anytime you play in orvr or scenario, after a while you ll just leave the game frustrated, cause you ve got no time and no way to be aswell stuff than your opponent.
i write this post after earing this so many times from casual players.

I know its hard but at some point you have to have the vet put them to sleep. pve in war is well past it.
