New player experience so far

my experience/thoughts as new player (about 2 months in):
-lvld choppa to lvl 16/16 doing PvE/SC, found it pretty fun to learn the ropes of the game
-lvld a elf archer around lvl11, met some pretty nice people in order who recommended i play a RP (since i want to be helpfull, and be part of things)
-lvld a RP 40/45 - a harsh/fun experience... as sometimes i play solo (dead timezone), getting renown is hard
-lvld a slayer 30/33 - very fun class, i got surprised by how much easier it is to level now that i know what to do
-went back to my choppa (now lvl19/21)

seeing both sides of the coin left me wondering..
why when i press L on order side, almost (not to say 0, it probably have a group with 10 players and another of t1) no open WB formed? destro side always have at least 2 WB, 3 with counting t1, everyone welcomed.
sincerelly i mentally gave up on order/heal after innumerous cases of team winning SC, capping good flags, but being behind kills, team just surrenders, me as a healer leave with no xp at all (happened on all tiers). then a loser (who surrended) comes complaining about a massive fight that he didnt get ressd. ahm, just found out people get loot in oRvR, why healers are left out of it?
anyway, will be rocking my choppa from now on, glhf.

TL;DR Yeah go Destro but not for the reason you're thinking.

You played 81 ranks on Order and 16 on Destro, so enough time for negativity bias to kick in on your Order run. Destro players aren't different humans, most people play both sides actually, so you'll run into the same situations of bad SC teammates and all that. You'll have a better time in RoR if you find a Guild with people you enjoy playing with.

The reason you should go Destro, if you don't wanna join a Guild right now, is that Destro has more Guilds across all timezones, and more pugleaders. Early EU you'll find Zorbaxx, Papa, Gigi or Grufrip, while Order has nobody except irregular pugleaders. So yeah its very easy to make an Open Warband and just follow one of those guys around, sooo there are more Open Warbands for you to join. Prime time (EU nights) starts Order favored on some days of the week, can shift depending on which side the regular xrealming Guilds log on, but then leans back to Destro as prime time comes to end and stays that way until NA West Coast.

destro is overally more fun to play as for a very simple reason - you dont have to fight destro careers. dont have to be constantly snared by dok covenants, harassed by shamans gork sez stop m1, threatened by choppa/maras pulls, kited by rshs and so on.

I'm pretty casual and only play destro, so take what I say with a pinch of salt.....

Balance shifts regularly. I'm not really talking about actual class/mechanic balance (which does shift), but shifts in population. Some days, order dominates. some days, destro dominates. sometimes, order dominates or a week, or a month, or two months.....then it shifts to destro, who then dominate for a week, or a month, or two months.

When you are playing on the losing side, it sucks. Doesn't really matter the reasons behind why you are losing, but if your side fails to put together warbands, can't take a keep, can't attack or defend a fort.....man, it gets boring. and frustrating!

I feel like if you put in enough time, it balances out eventually.

The only thing I noticed that seems to be consistent is that Destro tends to have more pug-friendly warbands, whilst Order has more/better organised warbands. So, if you play Order, you really do need to get into the right guilds / alliances to get the best experience, whilst on Destro you can more easily find open warbands....but you won't be as successful as a "good" order wb. Proper 2-2-2 balance is rare, and don't even get me started on the amount of 2h "tanks" on destro! I've just hit 40/44 on my heal shaman and there's nothing I hate more than a low level tank wielding a 2h weapon, especially BOs! They are so squishy, don't do any damage, and can't tank at all. But they're everywhere! And then u get blamed for not keeping them alive!

Your levels are not high enough although I like the word 'harsh'.

My 7 year experience which is 1-1.5 year destro is that destro is way easier.

Do they always win, of course not. Destro and order culture are different. Order, quite frankly, and usually doesn't care about anyone who's not someone they know. Somehow destro manages to get past that and do their job even when it means managing strangers. The reverse is true in asking advice. Order talks a lot, and destro will remain silent in advice chat often.

That should already show the winning side. Will either one always win rvr/sc of course not. Sometimes either wins. Though order mostly wins when they play with friends or guilds. Destro naturally does the job theyre meant to do even while playing with randoms. Destro has always had more try hard leaders than order. Even a perma pug lead, Zorbax, which order doesn't have an equivalent to.

Do as you will, but this is my experience.

I've experienced something...odd
I was fighting stuff as normal (playing a high elf, but running around Norsca doing the empire quests).
I hit level 16 while fighting multiple mobs. Immediately died, didn't really see what happened.
Respawned, walked a few feet outside town, got swarmed by junk mobs I could kill easily 5 mins ago and killed.
I now have a permanent "debolster" debuff keeping me at level 10?

Huh? What the heck happened?

Its like the game has decided level 15 is fine, and level 16 isn't ...okay, then cap me at 15? why 10?
Frustrating that the fake de levelling doesn't let me use the lvl 16 horse that I'd been looking forward to, too.

I pretty much give up on the game at 40/45. The renown grind is just daunting, the gear gap is massive, and there is little to no PUG scene. Nothing says fun like logging into your lvl 40 healer (on either side) and seeing no open warbands despite a keep siege happening...

I think your assumptions about order and destro are skewed by your only having T4 characters on order.

The PvE in T1 is intended for up to lvl 10. However, since they removed T2 and T3 RvR, they reworked T1 to be up to 15 (when it used to be just ~10 in live).

So true! The "annoying" abilities are completely one-sided.
