I was wondering how my fellow black orcs are feeling about the recent buff to chop fasta. do you like the change? does it save the skill? should it still be scrapped?
Here are my thoughts:
Chop fasta
- 20 second buff increase makes the skill feel much more reliable
- The ability shines when you have high strength high crit/crit damage with decent penetration
- Guaranteed crit feels really good to use with this setup
- Auto attacks become a significant source of pressure
- Doesn’t do much to increase our burst (you really struggle to get over 5k burst)
- Still feels at odds with a tank class
- Putting yourself in odd positions to get extra crit damage
- You start to play more like a choppa than a black orc
- Still has anti synergy with tree hit combo
- Has great synergy with loudmouth and stat steal (more attacks means more loudmourth and stat steal procs)
- My lol dps build: loudmouth, gork smash, stab you gooder, gud at big chopping 1050 str 500 weapon skill warlord oppressor mix
- Felled the training construct in 16 seconds (this was my best time with M1 demolishing strike) (usually between 22-26 seconds without M1, anything below 22 seems to be an outlier)
- With off sov you could probably get some insane damage numbers (I still don’t have off sov) - if a ranged dps even glances in your direction, you will immediately die
The issue is that this ability really shines when you build black orc as a DPS and not as a tank. For the skill to function well it has high stat requirements. My recommendation is use off sov if you have it to maximize crit potential of auto attacks. Skip loudmouth and get less stabbing me and focus on stacking parry. Hope and pray that order ranged dps are asleep at the wheel.
TLDR: feels much better now that Chop fasta is 20 seconds, but it's still a dps ability on a tank. I think the development team could make a better ability that is better able to complement black orc’s kit as a whole.

Re: Chop Fasta
It's not a good ability. Simple as that.
Why isn't it good? let's look at what it actually does.
Using Boon (which is pretty much mandatory now we don't have any defensive abilities) gives us a AA speed of 3.6.
- Starting at the point we use Gud Plan ability (as we would with Chop Fasta!) this gives us 6 AA hits over 20sec. This is if we don't use any other abilities after the Gud Plan ability.
- Doing the same test but this time using Chop Fasta! gives us 8 AA hits over 20sec. Once again this is if we don't use any other abilities after Chop Fasta!.
So in a perfect scenario where we do nothing but AA Chop Fasta! gives 2 additional AA hits over 20sec. But of course this situation will never happen as we will be using T'ree Hit Combo as often as possible as it's our main source of damage. So let's have a look at the numbers again both with and without Chop Fasta!
I used Right in Da Jibblies for the first test as it is a good plan ability with a 20sec uptime just as with Chop Fasta! The rotation went as follows:
Wot Armour?>Right in Da Jibblies>T'ree Hit Combo
Wot Armour?>Trip 'Em up>Savin' Me Hide
Wot Armour?>Trip 'Em up>T'ree Hit Combo
Wot Armour?>Trip 'Em up>Savin' Me Hide
Using the above combo gives us 5 AA hits over 20sec from the point of using Right in Da Jibblies. Now lets try it with Chop Fasta!
Wot Armour?>Chop Fasta!>T'ree Hit Combo
Wot Armour?>Trip 'Em up>Savin' Me Hide
Wot Armour?>Trip 'Em up>T'ree Hit Combo
Wot Armour?>Trip 'Em up>Savin' Me Hide
Using the above combo gives us 6 AA hits over 20sec from the point of using Chop Fasta! It is worth mentioning that there is another AA hit just after the 20sec, but we're measuring for the duration of the ability to test what it does during its uptime.
So from the above tests we can conclude that in a perfect scenario Chop Fasta! gives us an additional 2 AA hits every 20sec, but in reality will give us 1. So with that in mind let's rewrite the Chop Fasta! tooltip so it's more obvious what it does. Let's be generous and give it the perfect scenario version.
Chop Fasta!
You hit your target for 277 damage and deal an additional 2 auto attack hits over 20 seconds. If you are behind your target, you will almost always deal critical damage.
Doesn't sound great when it's written like that does it? Now consider this is a 13pt ability in the damage tree. It really needs another component to it to make it worth anything, and the crits from behind isn't it.

Re: Chop Fasta
Very nicely put. You have good takes alot so not surprised. SM Version of this skill hits very high dmg if behind target and 10s Spirit dmg Dot that gives SM 10% Crit for 10s. 10% Crit Would be ALOT better for Blorc and Synergizes with 25% Crit dmg/Crit rate tactic very good. That 10% Crit buff is so much better than 50% Aa haste for blorc.Culexus wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2024 8:42 am It's not a good ability. Simple as that.

Waaagh?! Relocated and Needs good plan instead best plan.It should be 9pts Brawler and Thc Usable with shield but back to 13pts brawler. Make You got nuffin core and Replace with new Block 10-20% Tactic. Blorc could do bruiser again having 30% Crit from tactic + skill and 30% Block from tactics + Thc Shield + Cant Hit me! I would play shield and 2h blorc with pleasure if it worked like this.

Re: Chop Fasta
Chop Fasta should have been the Whispering Winds mirror that it was years ago, and waaagh moved to Brawler tree as some other ability.

Re: Chop Fasta
When I made this post, I had assumed that I was getting at least 4 extra auto attacks within the 20 second timeframe of chop fasta. regardless of how many auto attacks you actually get it still is a terrible skill, but I was pleasantly surprised with the ability in practice from a DPS black orc perspective. Since I believed I was getting 4 extra auto attacks my feeling after testing was that Chop fasta was at best a C tier skill that required heavy investment. Even if I was using tree hit combo within my rotation I thought I would at least get 2-3 extra auto attacks. After spending some time testing this ability I've discovered some interesting game mechanics related to auto attack speed, I could be wrong about this so I would love if a dev could confirm.
Auto attack speed increases seem to snapshot in this game. For example, if I attack and put my auto attack on CD and then trigger an auto attack speed increase the game will not reduce the CD of the next attack. You will have to wait for the attack after that for the game to actually start applying the auto attack speed increase. This means that for chop fasta you will sometimes lose about 4 seconds of the buff duration as your first auto after using the skill will not have increased speed. On top of this 2H black orcs like to spam tree hit combo. tree hit combo can be used twice in 20 seconds resulting in 6 seconds of the buff going to waste. If your buff even has .1 second of a duration remaining it may apply an auto attack speed increase to the next attack.
to use the ability to its maximum potential make sure that the buff never runs out by keeping it within your rotation as losing possibly 4 seconds of the buff duration significantly reduces the amount of damage. Even with best usage the skill is still terrible as you are left with usually 2 but possibly 1 or 3 extra auto attacks. The reason why it's a C tier skill for a full DPS black orc is that even 1 extra auto attack on a lightly armoured target can deal 1000-1200 damage with a crit. Add on to this a guaranteed crit from chop fasta conditional and you have another 900-1000 damage. In practice I found it fun to use actually but definitely not what black orc needed. Other tanks have so many more tools and utility and black orc is still only bringing damage to the table.
