Anecdotes about whether something does it doesn't pop don't prove much anyway, because it's going to vary by tier and timezone and lots of other factors.
If you try to do event SCs during later NA times bleeding into Oce, you're going to wait an hour for a pop and when they are "back to back" it will be the same 3-6 people all the time. If it's peak hours you'll see better results.

The real question is, if there was a theoretical solo queue event skirmish, what would preorg groups lose?
These claims about "effort" and "hand-outs" don't actually address the elephant in the room of what this "punishment" or downside actually is.

There already aren't enough premade groups if the matchmaker is putting full premade vs full pug. Keeping things how they are isn't going to create more. You get action in the current situation, sure, but it's about the same challenge and engagement as doing PvDoor after the first couple of minutes.

The premades could just queue solo and form up inside the skirmish sc. They certainly don't need a 6man to beat pugs, solid 3 or 4 man can probably do the same thing.

There should be basically zero reward for stomping pugs for 2-3 hours straight in the weekend sc. It's killing the game.

force them to q ranked, why are they refuse to fight equal opponents instead? pugs stompers, killboard farmers, should be punished, not rewarded.

The premades stomping weekend event scenarios are pretty rough on the casual player base. I run three man almost exclusively, and particularly on Sundays it can be brutal trying to finish up and get your rewards.

I think a weekend event that is only discordant queue would be an interesting experiment. The premades might get around it, but let's give it a try at least once. I'd say Nordenwatch solo queue would be amenable to the player base.

Squid - Squig Squit - B.O.

And just like that the new event you need 10 skirmishes - woot!

Happy 10th year!

Edit* this is the most fun instanced pvp ive had in forever, this is a trend that i hope continues in future.

Aw for F sake....

These people are never going to learn are they.
Absolutely hopeless.

They do something good for the community then delete it shortly afterwards and not for the first time either, incredible.

See plenty of people who we're loving it. Are we not part of the community too?

Can we just split the baby: have the event master give a forked quest options, A) win 5 scenarios like its been changed too, or B) participate in 10 discordant skirmishes like it was. And have the event 0/1 be to finish one of the quests?
