If you just strafe with a or d you will never get hit with the snare. Its basically a skill check that on this old server like 90% of the population passes.
Just give a normal bogstandard snare to a 'supposed' assasin class. We used to have one im told. And we need one vs the array of mobility tactics and passives that goblins have.
Virtually every other melee has a snare, or wait....every other melee has one so why not wh. U can even keep it in snapshot but just make it only proc every 20s to give you a gap closer window without being a perma snare. or placed it on a finisher...or an opener....

They never had snare ability.
They dont have normal snare on purpose cos stealth. They never intend to had one. Just be glad that on ror you have sprint ability cos on war you got normal, easy to interupt stealth.
Btw if enemy use strafe movement eventually you will catch him since he dont move straight line but you do

Nope. You already got better charge than normal mdps that ignores GCD and is 2s Stealth as well=) Remove the speed buff from Sanctified Oil/Elixir of Shadows and make it 4s stealth ignoring GCD. Max give it one 15ft or so Dash forward but Stealth classes were not supposed to have Charge at all and now they do. Equip 10% chance on being hit 5s 40% Snare proc wpn. But also WH/WE should have place in WB's as well but that would require ae cap of 9 not 24. If they do make cap 9 or maybe 12(absolute maximum imo) for ranged classes. Make that tactic that we/wh have hit 6 people within 20ft of target. EDIT; Also WL/Mara/Slayer/CH dont get Shatter enchantment or Sever Blessing which were undefendable in Warhammer online Age of reckoning and in some cases super OP(Destroy Confidence for kotbs getting 4 hits with 1 Shatter) but in general these abilities were much more important than they are in RoR. Dps Dok/Dps WP has these abilities as well btw.

Personally, I don't have a problem with no snare. I have a problem with the hit success frequency of WH class which can't get away with stacking defense without become ineffective. I won't high jack the thread with my suggestions, but I do think WH is very close to being a "balanced" class with just a few tweaks. The problem has been that the "balance" team would just make symmetrical changes on both WE and WH if they did something like this, despite the classes not being equal.

Snare or standard charge is solely needed, because :
- Any bump from pretty much every healer or tank will totally counter you, and if you need sanctified oil to catch your target, you give up shroud of magnus, wich is a death sentence against any destro ranged or DPS shaman.
- You cant catch fleeing Magus because unblockable 6s stagger
- You cant catch Shaman because ranged slow + bump + speed increase
- You dont have nor space nor a tactic to increase your speed, unlike WE
- You dont have a 65 ft gap closer unlike WE

I don't know **** about WH so I can't say if it needs a snare or not, but I would like to point out that no one uses the speed increase tactic on shaman or SH anymore. The tactic has been nerfed to ground and it is pointless now. If you see a fast shaman it is probably using flee and focused mind. Not having a snare on a melee class in a positioning rewarding game is extremely wild.
There is a good reason why almost every game in existence gives melee the tools to control engagement ranges - gap closers and snares are critical core to melee class design.
