This. Have a look at Deawuur (he has a Youtube channel with a lot of solo roam engi vids) and Utka on the killboard. Both are amazing solo roam engis.

IBs are a great solo class, but engis just seem like they're way more fun.

IB is decent soloroamer way earlier than engi, but it IS a tank and tanks are pretty easy to roam with. vale-walker/sentinel Combo takes you far.

Engi is very fun to Solo, and gets decent builds with oppressor and up but Will die a lot while looking for buttons. I think My first Solo setup with was oppressor/sentinel and then farmed ranked ring and replaced oppressor with defensive ranked pieces and grimmshimmer. later Grimmshimmer and senti got replaced with warlord/defsov

I would say 2h ib if you want to troll enemy and have some decent chance of surviving when you r not on top of a tower.Plus you can always find some decent dps wp and have fun duo.
