Seriously? Being unable to queue dodge based on which members of the opposing faction enter the SC would not be an improvement?Kaitanaroyr wrote:that would still be a abndaid fix as the OP said people would afk

PPL Stop think crazy solution when the easy solution are right in your fat eyes.
1) group queue
2) queue matchmaking based on itiems level ...

Some groups would be forced to wait forevaaaaa.Tesq wrote: 2) queue matchmaking based on itiems level ...
Personally, for premades, I'd love to have an optional 6 vs 12 button where groups (grp queue provided) can face more enemies in SC with shorter waiting times but with a higher risk of failing.

Group queue, hurr durr.
Yes, we know. That's a thing that would be nice. In the meantime, if that's not something that can be done without a significant devotion of time and resources, another answer to people dodging queue and making for one-sided free wins would be nice. Maybe if group queue was the answer it would already be in place, eh? If people stop acting like dicks there wouldn't be a problem that would need a creative solution to "fix".

Re: People not joining SC's
Well, ATM there is only 2 tier of sc so there is a good concentration of players which makes this "issue" moot. 24 hr a day I can get SC pop very quickly in T2.
Anyway regarding this things I am for having as few rules as possible, things like quitter debuff etc are not really necessary. Later if sc queues become harder to get then maybe look into this.. Anyways we are currently in good shape, except most ppl still suck on both sides, lack of organisation and familiarity with the game systems.
@tentonhammer - group queue means queuing as a 6 man party (not currently implemented)
I am not really sure whether group queue will really be a good thing or not as I am more in favor of everyone joining solo and l2p. Yes it is much harder and many ppl won't like but I think less rules etc will be better and keep the sc playerbase more easy to create new SC "pops". If they start adding separate group queue the first thing that will happen is all scenario will propably become 1) more imbalanced as a whole 2) less frequent.

Group que will be a good thing for serious players who will be queuing w/ premades (farming wise), bad for pugs who just want a casual/fun experience.navis wrote: I am not really sure whether group queue will really be a good thing or not as I am more in favor of everyone joining solo and l2p. My biggest gripe w/ scenarios on live was there was never a competitive and casual que separation. The game never cultured a competitive atmosphere because of this, and it also made doing scenarios hard for casual players who just wanted to que up and have fun.
I always find it funny when people say they or their guild were the "best" on live when there was no skill based ranking system for either, or any kind of officially sanctioned tourneys. Even WoW has arena/team BG rankings for Christ sakes, it's technically more competitive than warhammer.

Re: People not joining SC's
Part of the reason I'm holding back on the group queue implementation is because of the potential to ruin the fun for the vast majority of casual players - since people oppose queue separation on multiple grounds. I feel that it has a lot of potential for imbalance.

Why would people oppose que separation? pugs will fight pugs and premades other premades.Azarael wrote:Part of the reason I'm holding back on the group queue implementation is because of the potential to ruin the fun for the vast majority of casual players - since people oppose queue separation on multiple grounds. Population?
I could see people complaining about not being able to beat a certain destro pre that is only queing up, but that would mean they just want to beat up on pugs as an alternative.

Re: People not joining SC's
The queue separation "problems" are:
- Groups don't always indicate skilled players
- It's harder to fit groups into a scenario in a numerically balanced fashion without a pool of solo players to call upon for finer balancing adjustments without resorting to 3/6 man locks
