Let me start with this quote, I know nothing will change but after so many years of playing the game I thought just give it a try, at least you will now you tried !
Sometimes we see people frustrated or discouraged to play the game again or people talking about making the game more approachable for new players, well as I've been in that state before let me express some of the ideas that I think would make a lot of people change their opinion about the game and make like 99% of the player base way happier.
QoL Changes:
~ We all know there is a common bug where if you are one of the luckiest people in the game and drop a purple seed you might lose it. As a personal experience I can say this feeling sucks ... I grinded many months for that so I can have a stable source of income and then suddendly one day without me doing anything wrong, poof ... gone. It really made me sad in the way that I didnt have that much energy to log in and play and be as happy as before. Since its not a players fault make a QoL change and with certain proof (database check or w/e) restore the lost item to anyone who suffers from this bug.
~ Account bound Guild Coins and War Crests even ? Most of the playerbase here is playing at least 2-3 classes. With the QoL change of making War Crests account bound means, I still need to level my new Healer from 0 but I get to do on better terms with being able to take some of 50k(unused crest on my main) and have my gear etc. I have spent hours grinding those crests so its not like a compensation. Its just making the game more friendly to everyone. Same with guild coins. My alt already has Guild Mount and 10 Guild Tokens unused. I would like to be able to give those coins to my main so I can buy him a mount too. Not asking for a gift. Just asking for the hours (many hours) I spend playing across my characters being able to use all the rewards I take to my best personal experience.
~ New player destroying items or duplicate buy ? Lets say someone buys the replice ring by accident 2x times ... thats a 10k loss. Wouldnt it be nice that if we had some good NPC to sell it back or some good manager who with certain proof he would restore that ? And I am not saying doing that on a daily basis on the same guy. But have like 2-3 free charge per account to make a ticket for such restoration ? Some goes for destroying an item ?
It really doesnt feel like this changes are game breaking. To me it mostly feels like it would make the game much more enjoyable for a lot of us and would actually feel warmer to the playerbase and that our time we spend matters.

I like this idea with account bound War Crests, Guild Coins, Gensis Crests and Triumphant Insignias. This has been proposed several times, and it will probably not be implemented for some reasons. Maybe change only for Genesis Crests, Triumphant Insignias can be considered, or making that War Crests from City/Forts bags are account bound?

Doesn't the deleted items go to the buyback option in the any merchant? The war crest idea is bad. Having high lvl gear and having a high rr are indicator of invested time. Now, having invested time in a character doesn't imply that you are good at it, but it implies a basic lvl of proficiency in your role.

Accountbound Warcests are a very bad Idea. I am not against Accountwide progression, but doing it with Warcrests will only create more Problems i.e. killing Pug Warbands.

Well for purple seed loss, there is a possible "easy" fix. Transform purple seeds as they currently exist, into a unlock item, make a purple seed vendor, allow only one copy per named purple seed on a character. If your purple seed is destroyed, just claim a new one from the unlock vendor.
The crests are more tricky, since that also impacts longevity of the game, but it also impacts power balance.
There is in general only three major grinds in this game. Renown Rank, Crests, and PVE gear.
PVE gear is annoying, but lets you skip a lot of the crest grind.
Crests being account bound would allow for PVE skip, some RVR skip, and is majorly beneficial for players that already are high tiered, while not really rewarding beginners much.
For new players or classes that need several gear sets the current crest system is extremely painful, and is one of the highest issues for entry into the game.
And do we really need 3 different gear locking systems in place? RR, Wards, and Crests?
If wanting to promote rvr/sc, we could probably drop two of these, Crests and Wards, make RVR gear locked by RR only, and adjust RR gain.
Let pve give fast early gearing, let gear that you have the RR for be free, so allowing to skip pve without being punished on the crest side, while missing out on early power gains from that gear.
Let crests be for buying pots/buffs and other consumables and QOL items.
Drop strong consumables from PVE to bring up reasons to do PVE even when geared.
Let bags and SC's have chance for stuff like rare timed unlimited potions, and buffs, to keep the loot goblin side of the motivations intact. Increase by what content the players are not interacting enough with.
If the game engine had been a bit more easy to work with, stuff like randomized gear drops with different stats etc would have been another way to keep the loot goblins happy, but that is out of reach from what I understand. So buffs, gems, pots are basically the main places where more interesting content could be delivered through.
Cause on my new characters, I cannot stomach doing the grind again, and on my mains there is no more progression, so no motivation. And there is no random rewards to be had in the game, so nothing to keep the loot goblin happy.
We are always up against the main issue for these kinds of games. We will optimize the fun away if given the slightest chance to do so. Tradeable crests will mean farming on mains until nothing left to do, with characters geared that we will never play. But the game design currently also rewards optimizing away the fun parts, if you are getting a character geared as efficient as possible, you should PVE gear the entire way for wards, farm for Crests and RR and not spend a single one until endgame set. Any deviation from this costs you time, massive amounts of time.
So optimal is PVE to PVP, spend nothing, hit endgame and buy 90% of your endgame gear immediately.
If renown was only limiter to gear, and PVE gear is renown free, you have a choice, PVE for faster early gear progression but sidegrade/optional, or PVP for renown into guaranteed sets. Optimal path will still be PVE into PVP, but you would not be punished at all for using all the PVP gear once it unlocks, and you would be free to mix and match without insane loss of crests.
