Most fun dps class to sc 1-39?

If losing and sabotaging your own teams efforts is fun for you, then go with DPS zealot/RP, they check all boxes. :^)

On a different more, join a premade and play what you like, chances will be higher that you win, no matter the spec.

I just finished 2H SM (not SW) (Bicskasm) and it felt OP all the way. I was even messagaed: "Thanks for ruining midtier scs with your premade" and I was soloqueuing all the time except for one single scenario the previous night.

Only thing seemed important to use max talismans and gear to enjoy bolster the most.

I remember seeing 2h SM doing some big **** damage and not instantly falling over. I have one at 16 actually. Might try it again.

Not looking to premade much, those take for ever to make even more so in the pre 40 range.
And even though it's a group based game, I don't like premades, feels dirty since it's so hard to lose when in premades it makes everything too easy.
I would only premade as tank/healer tbh.

- Scourged Warping is barely useful - 10% increased damage on a dot and the chance to turn single target casted 2 second spell into a 1.5 second GCD capped insta DD. Good for attacking people on the run if it procs, but barely increases your DPS overall.

DPS (as damage per second) isn't what kills people. You should know that.

-DPS Rune Priest has the ability to pump large fluff damage numbers that DPS Zealot can never reach because of 50% area increase for Rune of Battle (a far superior AoE fire and forget ability castable on a target from up to 150 (!!) feet away vs. Zealot channeled 80 ft AoE) and their frontal cone 9 sec dot. Yes, you can see lots and lots of damage numbers, but a lot of those targets you are hitting will be well outside the killzone of the actual damage dealing classes securing the kills. So yes, it will be lots of fluff damage inflating your numbers. Thats great that your overall damage was higher than some conq gear WL/Slayers. Was the "damage contributed to kills" also higher?

You miss something very important. Zealot debuffs Corporeal with Sweeping Disorgement, while RPs Conclusive Runes are debuffing only armor.

WL/Slayers were at least invader. "Average" was about skill. Damage contribution was higher as well.

Seriously, go spend some time attacking a target dummy and see how long it takes you to kill something vs. any other DPS spec class. To original OP - DPS zealot has it the worst of all classes for a DPS spec. Please pick literally any other of the 23 classes. Yes, even 2h knight.

I'd suggest you watching this. Damage isn't crazy, but its certainly not as bad as you paint it.

Anyway, I'm not trying to convince anyone it's stronger than other classes, but that it can be fun for someone. Fun is subjective thing.

If you are taking the spot of a DPS class, damage per second and spike damage absolutely is what kills things. Assisting and heal debuffs help, too.

Yes, Zealot can debuff their own damage type, but that takes having the squishiest cloth caster be within 40 feet to do that.

I have plenty of first hand exp with my 80 zealot going full +int 24 talismans and bloodlord weapon to know that the damage is laughably bad for giving up so much in return. I don't need to watch a cherry-picked video to know DPS zealot in its current state in RoR is the bottom of the barrel bad.

The enemies not even use heal potions in most fights.

To give an actual answer to OP - play a 2h Black Orc. Slot the best str talismans you can find, guard a mdps, and bully your way thru scenarios. At 16+ your overcapped str with boosted stats let's you 3 and 4 hit squish targets. Once you get Tree Hit Combo, your life will forever change as you evaporate targets. Then once you get You Wot along with it, you will feel like a nigh unstoppable killing machine. You will see crits for over 1k occasionally from a 2h tank in mid tier scenarios.

Like all DPS classes once you hit 40 everything changes and it's back to noodle arms until you get good gear, or you can delete, remake, repeat and start the lols all over again.
