Best VPN/ troubleshooting for someone in mainland China?

Hello there, if this topic has already been addressed I apologize, but I couldn't find any information regarding this topic lately. I have been able to successfully torrent the game onto my laptop but I am having trouble downloading it once I open the game launcher. I usually get to around 30-40% before it slows down and I am unable to fully download after that.

I currently use Astrill VPN to be able to use Facebook, Instagram, Google and the other sites I use back home in the US. If it's a problem with VPN, should I switch to another?

Is that a game booster akin to UU? I am curious which one is better? I have just arrived to China and thus am unfamiliar with their performance.

Okay, I have just downloaded qi and it's helping me download the game better, but I still can't fully download it, is there a specific setting I should be using to be able to play in Shenzhen?

Edit: Also, what sort of Internet provider should I be using? I am currently using the WiFi from my apartment

I have the same issue. Don't use vpn for downloading and patching. Use the vpn only for playing.

Okay so I am able to get to the downloading part, but it is taking an insanely long time to fully download.... I have over 150,000 files, with each file taking about a couple seconds at most.... by this rate, the game should take over 3 days of working nonstop to fully download...Is there any way to get this game to download faster?
