Collected eggs deleted from inventory at event end

Why delete collected event stuff from players' inventory - stuff that's the result of possibly hours of (now wasted) game time?

What kind of low-level coding is that?

Eggs had VERY VISIBLE TIMER, only thing i can argue about is the eggs from the event herald that had fixed 44s timer in tooltip. I lost 3 of my eggs due to that but again 3 eggs would probably give me nothing interesting soo no value was lost.

Yeah, the eggs had a decay timer - for +6d. In my specific case I spent hours on finding and collecting eggs to complete the egg-gathering part of the event. I did this shortly before the event ended, so they had plenty of time on them. I logged out an hour before the event ended with 30-40 collected eggs in my inventory - and when I logged back in a couple of hours later, they had simply been deleted.

It is what it is - but it does annoy me a bit, that I spent hours collecting some content, only to have it straight up deleted from inventory. And I’m amazed that it was coded like this - as it strikes me as an error. But apparently not.

As far as i remember the eggs had universal timer that went from start of the event till end of it and the time of egg worked based on how much time there was left in event.
