Some sov abilities feel really underwhelming

From outstanding ones like crit immunity, leading the charge to meme-ish ones (w.e/wh punting people off the walls) some abilities feel like they're lacking considering the amount of stats you have to sacrifice in order to go full sov. The effect itself might be worth it, but even when that is the case, 2min cd just makes it seem like you don't have it. If it's an "offensive one" like reducing the cost of AP or 1 sec cast time you just end up forgetting it's even there after you use it the first time, not even taking into consideration they last for only 8,5 seconds (global cooldown, yay). I understand making the good ones have their cd set at 2min, but I fail to see the reason to keep it also 2min for the rest of sov abilities. As it stands, you can barely find people willing to run full sov, mixing sets for stats is nice, but shouldn't the end-game set ability make us feel like it was worth farming it?

On some classes a full set is worth it. Not for all but I actually like it this way, mixing sets adds more variety. If not, all would use the same gear at endgame.
Dying is no option.

The WP salv set ability is pretty bad. 120 RF on a 2 minute cool down. Does exactly the same as a well placed smite :/.

True, if the AoE detaunt lasted longer it might be useful. But with smite's cooldown being the same length as the detaunt, kinda makes the 120RF pointless..

Only classes which wear full Sov are def tanks for RVR for the group speed buff and shamans + ams to give themselves and their defensive targets 10 seconds crit immunity.
Not worth to wear full sov on other classes.

I'm assuming that's the whole point, sov abilities not powerful enough for being most demanding in terms of character progression requirements in the game. On the other hand, it gives you much more build possibilities, due to not forcing you to use full sov which takes almost all equipment slots.
RoR doesnt deserve being taken seriously.

And for AM/SHM that's mostly because 6p sov is very strong, but lacks AP, so you go 7p, but then you suffer from missing wounds and 60 willpower from 2p Sent doesn't do much, so you might as well go 8p sov for the crit immunity.. :?
If ranked ring was cheaper and EoV/Fodg got moved to 9, most would probably run 5p sov + 4p triumphant or 3p sov + 6p triumphant.

Anyway, that's good, they should be situational abilities and full set mainly for fashionhammer and ward.

Build variety is great for the game, but I don't see how improving some sov abilities (that no one bothers to use) will go against it. In fact, you actually increase the number of viable builds by one. The stats aren't going to change, it is simply more effective to mix sets atm than to go full something, so it's not like everyone will decide to go full sov. Nonetheless, making sov abilities more appealing, even if they don't end up becoming the meta, would make the grind for triumph or your second set more pleasant to the player base. You could even improve other set bonuses to make people more willing to farm a second one, for example, full warlord, giving the players more alternatives to builds instead of just going for stats seem like a good way to incentive people to stay on the lakes.
