Re: Most fun tank to play ?
All tanks are fun, depends how u play them.
SM and BO has most dmg of all tanks, playing them as 2H can be fun in that way as u gonna be able to dishout nice amount of damage and kill a lot stuff. Price for that is that they have bit less utility in their toolkit, while SM has option, BO surely lacks ones.
BG and IB have most useful toolkit and decent damage but price for that is much more complicated class mechanic and high ceiling to play them to the max potential.
Knigth n Chosen remains to have decent toolkit, ST KD and BigPunt with short CD allows u to impact fights a lot, their gameplay is easiest to learn/execute.

Re: Most fun tank to play ?
Fun tanks: Swordmaster, Black Orc, Ironbreaker, Blackguard.
Non-fun tanks: Knight of the Burning Sun, Chosen.
Motive: Knight and Chosen have the aura mechanic which means that about half of their abilities are passives, resulting in much less buttons to press and, as such, options in combat. Compared, Ironbreaker is like a Swiss Army Knife. That punches you. In the face.

SW, Kotbs, IB, Slayer, WP, WL, SM, Mara, SH, BG
Re: Most fun tank to play ?
And out of the two kotbs is the less damaging one, making it the least fun tank to play as you're not doing much beyond guard/punt play
RoR doesnt deserve being taken seriously.
Re: Most fun tank to play ?
bo has the most unique tools like the jibblies mini interrupt, aoe silence, reflect + block + infinite AP stacking. sm has a lot of fun stuff too in both 2h and snb
bg can be fun again a lot of unique and disruptive tools
knight and cho have 1 real build and it's really dull
ib is both awful and awfully boring
if your definition of fun is dmg just play an mdps

Re: Most fun tank to play ?
i tryed all classes up to level 15, but of tanks i only have kotbs at r40+. when i play it, i know i need to press some skill every GCD. it's nothing strong or gamebreaking btw, i'm sure all other tanks have similar tools if not better, still i don't understand why is kotbs called easier to play when you're still clicking one key for every GCD? also not sure are we talking about snb or 2h gameplay here, sc or rvr. but point still remains.zulnam wrote: Sat Oct 08, 2022 5:36 pm Fun tanks: Swordmaster, Black Orc, Ironbreaker, Blackguard.

only logic i see here is if new player is playing a tank, they'll be very confused in big fights in first few weeks untill they learn basics, so in that case if they dont trigger skill every gcd or are hitting enemy tanks/mdps in face and getting blocked/parried on their buffs/debuffs, they would still have that utility from auras.
P.S. what i'm trying to say is, KOTBS can definitely be fun, and chosen as well im sure.
Re: Most fun tank to play ?
Thx for all your answers ! and sry, yeah it wasn't clear, was asking for 2H, not SnB
Re: Most fun tank to play ?
Chosen: u look like arnie in his prime, badass bodybuilder that can stack a lot of crit, consistent dmg against all classes, with late game gear is fun, can catch range but healers and AM shut you down hard.
BO: best emotes in the damn game, hit hard big crits feel very squishy, can put some presure on enemy healers. Sucks big time against range u dont have a gap closer.
Elves: u wear a long dress no mather what u do
Ironbreaker: u are a dwarf... but you have the best tank tactics imo and all the abilities u want.
Knight: u are a boring human in a fantasy world and a zealot looks more jacked, 99% of players plays like a KD punt class but u have the best and easiest utility of all tanks.
And the last secret one:
Runepriest: unkillable little god, best class in the game. If you dont agree you are wrong.

Re: Most fun tank to play ?
Absolutely, they're not bad; most wanted tanks in any group, snb or 2h. And very beginner-friendly; I guess it's personal preference.rejndjer wrote: Sun Oct 09, 2022 8:30 ami tryed all classes up to level 15, but of tanks i only have kotbs at r40+. when i play it, i know i need to press some skill every GCD. it's nothing strong or gamebreaking btw, i'm sure all other tanks have similar tools if not better, still i don't understand why is kotbs called easier to play when you're still clicking one key for every GCD? also not sure are we talking about snb or 2h gameplay here, sc or rvr. but point still remains.zulnam wrote: Sat Oct 08, 2022 5:36 pm Fun tanks: Swordmaster, Black Orc, Ironbreaker, Blackguard.

Re: Most fun tank to play ?
I would like to add that while people correctly pointed out that chosen and knight of the blazing sun are more straightforward mechanic wise than black guard and ironbreaker, even mastering chosen or kotbs is a long road, at least in small scale (6 man and less).
For instance, positioning aspect is big part of tank gameplay and you have to constantly think should you be with your frontline dps setting up kills and doing damage or should you be at your backline, protecting healers or rdps when they are under pressure. Or what to do if both your frontline mdps and backline healers are under pressure at the same time. Setting up kills is not that simple either, since you want to be aware of what key debuffs and buffs are on at any given time so you don't waste cc and give out immunities by cc'ing at the wrong time.
Above is mostly written with organized small scale group play in mind where 2h tanks usually shine. If you don't play in organized groups, you have more freedom to do what you want as a tank. You can basically play as a dps if you want to and not worry about anything I wrote above but then I'd recommend going for tank who can do good damage.
