I'm not for any drastic changes. When we eventually get full rvr set, and inf rewards from other rvr zones and PQs it will be a non-issue.

I agree, but that is probably months away :^), although we got really nice people out side the dev team fixing gear so it could come faster.

Just a quick note, I didnt see anyone say this but per the last dev post about changes to the server. Only greens drop in pve now. PVP/RVR is the only way to get blues or purples besides INF. The drop rate is higher in RVR lakes then in PQ's

Rare drops from PVP only was a really good decision. I'm still a little sore about losing a rune scribed main hand during the item wipe, (my luck is never good in games, and for once I got the bis drop) but overall this is better for the game. And it's absolutely possible to compete with only greens.

People should have some kind of non RNG avenue for getting the best, or better gear. It is possible to compete with worse gear, but why would you want to? Most of us here are going to be elitists and want to have as much of a passive advantage as possible.

The type of people who are playing on a WAR private server... well you know.

Elitistic gameplay doesn't necessarily require twinking at this point (remember this is a limited version of t2, not t4). All my toons have greens and like 1-2 pieces of blue gear; same goes for my premade buddies. Woe/rune-scribed gear won't save ur butt if you are a bad player :P

Ya but it will allow good player to be even better. I'm sure a voiced premade of people in greens will destroy a 6 man pug in woe/runescribed. But take two 6 mans with equal skill and cohesion and the one with better gear will win most of the time.

Perhaps, but you are talking about an IDEAL situation where unicorns actually exist :P

Because mob drops weren't exactly the same RNG as players

On the topic: I'm aware that the current implementation of RvR drops has some flaws and will be reworking it shortly to provide better rewards for all RvR kills without allowing farming.

Mob drops were steady, always there and ready to farm at the same rate. It was semi-dependable... well just looking at some of the players on destro side we can say for sure it was.

I'd be happy just see stuff drop in RvR even if I don't get it, it's always fun to see good stuff drop when you wipe an entire WB of destro trying to push your keep in.
