You'd think people would have learned their lessons after blues and purples got wiped that one time.
Guess not.

Boohoo.......Calamitous/butcher/vendor gear is good enough to be competitive.

So people who didn't farm before and shunned others for doing so and are now crying because they have "no gear" can be satisfied?

No thanks.
people who cry that they have no gear are dumbfucks, i don't talk about those. but that whole thirsting for rare items is getting ridiculous. it will be nonsense anyway when the rvr sets are out...

How about introducing a kill quest (500-1000 kills) that rewards a bag which will give you a random blue bop item useful for your career? Though, I don't know whether it's possible atm, programmingwise.

Dont think that is a good idea. Some people play '' 24/7 '' They can get 500 kills a day doing scs & RvR
does it depress you to know just how alone you really are?

Same people got their drops from farming before and get them atm from rvr anyway. You'll always have those people. Some just have an advantage via whatever.

The forums is were you come to whine :^)

I wouldn't of made this thread if it was only my opinion, almost everyone I talked to in game on both sides agree the drop rates are crap, and that even though items are supposed to be more common in the lakes that they drop 100x more often in sc's.

Warhammer is a PvP game, aside from skill/tactics, and theorycrafting/builds, there is only gear which can give you an advantage. But in the current "meta" getting gear is completely and utterly luck based. There is no token system like in the original game as a failsafe for shitty luck, only 1 t2 RvR zone inf rewards (which are missing stats making them worse than greens in some cases). You can't do PQ's, and you can no longer farm PvE for drops.

For example on my marauder I made to level 20 and didn't even have enough gold to buy half of a mount, let alone any top tier gear. But on my wh by the time I was level 20 I had ~200 gold from extremely lucky woe drops which set me up very nicely, and even allowed me to do a bunch of trades where I was able to come out on top.

This whole economy has spawned out of not having pq bags, missing inf rewards/broken inf rewards, useless tokens, and no obliterater sets. It sucks but increasing drops rates would be a nice bandaid fix for now.

That would be time spent on scripting/code that could be put forth to fix the actual problem w/ gear in T2. Need something quick and easy and adjusting drop rates is probably the best bet.

How about we just deal with it. T3 will be out some day and then all of this silly talk about gear in T2 will be rendered useless. But, then we can cry/bitch/moan/groan/complain about T3 gear.
