Invader Tok - Fortress Weapon !?!

Hello,

I have Invader Ward with 4x Triumph and 1x Invader. If I want buy Forttress Weapon it say I need the whole Invader Armor Set ?
Comeon, why you bring the wardsystem if I must buy whole Invader-Set ? This is pointless if you changed that gear as you can mix and get reward ?

To get all the wards for those sets you need to buy and equip at least one of each piece of the armor (I don't think that you need to get the jewelry piece). The Invader tier wards are a 6 piece set, and as you just stated you only have 5 pieces. Go into your ToK and click on the armory tab, then click on each individual ward fragment to see if you have the armor pieces. You don't have to buy the whole set, you just need to get the last one for that tier.

If you click your Invader Ward, then you see its only 5 pieces... but this is not Invader ToK. You need all girdle also for Invader ToK in Armory. I have all this in Triumph but dont get Invader ToK. Here you see my items:

- triumph torc
- triumph girdle
- triumph leathers
- triumph armbraces
- triumph charges
- invader war shroud

With this I could not buy Fortress Weapon, because you get no Invader ToK... If I would have all this items as invader I could !
I must buy now all the same items invader to get it because impossible to get complete triumph gear because of the ring and I think also you get then not Invader ToK...

They brought Ward system with mix gear but forget about that ToK Invader which is not the same as Invader Ward !

This is pointless, to buy gear which I dont need to get fortress weapon and have all pieces to get Invader Ward + girdle.
So please change it or think about developers, ty.

As per my comment on your ticket, Fortress weapons need "The Invader" TOK unlock which is obtained by getting all pieces of Invader gear except for the ring. The "Invader Ward" is something else, and unlocks by equipping Invader/Victorious/Triumphant armor in the right slots to unlock the next tier of armor (Warlord and Sov).

The Ward system is (currently) for armor sets, not weapons.

It's not very fun to grind for 'The Invader' TOK unlock just to use fortress staff on a Runepriest or healing Archmage for example. Invader is just not a good set for those classes imo, I would wear both Vanquisher and Triumphant - or a mix for wounds - over Invader on both of them.

It would make more sense if the fortress weapon required Invader Ward or just a certain renown rank. Grinding for sets you won't use, in order to unlock items you want, is anti-fun.

Good news then, you're in luck.
The Tome shows clearly, just as some of the precious posts, that you can use Trimphant or Victorious armour instead of Invader to unlock the "Invader ToK".

The way I understand it is that you can buy a mix of Invader, Triumphant and Victorious gear to get 'Invader Ward' TOK unlock - needed for Sovereign/Warlord gear.

In order to buy Fortress staff you need 'The Invader' TOK unlock, which is different from 'Invader Ward' TOK unlock, it can only be obtained from buying all Invader pieces except the ring.

One could hope then that the rule would eventually get updated to match the updated system.
