shaman can cleanse wl armor debuff , so am can cleanse mara.
wp can cant cleanse mara or dok cant cleanse wl. its would be op if cloth wearers coudnt cleanse armor debuff for example. this is how i see situation. about cleanses. medium wearer become more tanky if they can cleanse armor debuffs

Easiest solution would be to remove cleanse restrictions and allow every healer to cleanse any type of effect, perhaps with certain additional bonuses, general ones or if they cleanse specific type of effect. Argument could be easily made it would simplify game too much, but it also would made different cleanses closer in terms of quality. Main complaint of the topic is about AM vs Sham, but dont forget poor WP who doesnt cleanse WE/SH/Mara/Sham, 4 out of 5 destro heal inc heal debuffs, while cleaning only Chop.

Yeah, came to the same thoughts, as especially for ranked it skews certain match-ups pretty hard.

Though it does provide some checks and balances (e.g. if one class is too strong you bring more of their cleanse counter and it makes sure there's always a decent benefit to bringing 2 different healers) that probably outweighs the downsides in small scale combat and extra layer of balance complexity.

Every healer on each faction has 2 debuffs that they can cleanse. That leaves one they can't. It is balanced.

I assure you , RP would love to be able to cleanse the HD by the BG. They can't, so they need help from a WP or AM.

To rectify your problem, grp with a Zealot or a DOK. To make it really easy, grp with a DOK and ask them to slot Khaines Withdrawal. A pretty nice M2 with situational uses that has no corollary on Order.

if you remove class restrictions then remove all casters from game: magus and sorcerer; BW and engi got ailments that sometimes you use to "cover" another class dispel to help you, especially in aoe, to do damage. Spam no cd a cleanse kill those classes more than they actually are.

Thats why they dont need so many damage dots ?

But they have two roles, depending on how you spec them. Pretty much like tanks and dps can spec more defensive.
When you see someone throwing dots on you, then you fight a dps class, not a healer.

The question is why are you trying to compare AM vs Shaman in an isolated setting when classes are designed to be combined together? Unless this is of course about solo roaming DPS AMs vs solo roaming DPS Shamans, in which case lol.
