War crest wrong conversion after currency patch

hello,
this is a screenshot of my currency bag before the currency patch

Image

lets do some mathematical !
for 1536 vanquisher tokens
if i convert them in to conqueror tokens 1536x5=7680
then i convert 7680 conqueror tokens in to officer tokens 7680x5=38400
one officer boots (before currency patch) cost 34 officer token so 38400/34=1129
so before patch with my 1536 vanquisher i can get 1129 officer boots
now after patch one officer boost cost 54 war crest so 1129 boots cost : 54x1129=60988 war crest !
why when i open my currency bag after patch i only had 6000 war crest for all my old currency !!
i think there is a big problem in your conversion old currencies to new currencies no ?
what happen if i had convert all my currencies in to officer before patch ?
i lost so much currencies...

conq converted 5:1
vanq 1:1
invader 1:15
royals 1:18

Zero care was given to the gear costs before and after for the stuff basically below vanq. Reasoning seemingly that because you can get war emblems in t1 it's all justified. People in the 20s and 30s that had their entire currencies wiped were encouraged to quit the game before getting 40.

Wait until you realize how many lvl31 pots you could buy before and after the patch. Or that you get as many war emblems for a t1 sc win as a t4 win.

Everyone lost currency big time an the worst part they made getting gear 10x harder. . . Before SoV took around 400 Royals. Now it's 10,000+ Crest. That means you need to get 125 gold bags or 1 gold bag a day. So that mean you have to play a whole year to get SoV. . . I had almost 100 royal crest an was getting really happy I was getting close to my goal. Now my eagerness an wiliness to play this game is gone. You can see the population as well has dropped.

This did nothing but kill new players wanting to play this game. 10/10

IMO they should revert back to old system. They claim it was to complicated?? For whom?? Everyone understood the Tomb and how to progress. This new system screws everything up.. and they ripped everyone of their hard earned crests. Oh they made an announcement.. ffs wtf!!!!!!!!!. Even if I had enough bank space , there is no way I could have spent it all. And what they gave us in return is pathetic. I love this game and I will always play it regardless.. But wow what a shiet show.

Incoming wall of text.

Nah, the simplification of a universal currency is much better.... one thing that bogs down MMOs that age is when they have way to many floating currencies in the game...
The issue is not with the currency, that part is great. The issue is with the formula they did when converting the currencies into a universal one.
Not to mention the ratio of how many tokens you acquire now is still slow compared to the price-cost of the sets; in part due to the higher and higher costs of sets... and the tier set thottling (see below).

the most absurd thing is also throttling players by forcing them to back-purchase older tier sets just to acquire the higher tier sets. It is incredibly redundant to force players to purchase tier sets they are never going to equip just to purchase the next tier set.
Its simply a way to cause new players and fresh 40s to have a longer/grindier time before they can ever compete with highly geared players. I'm curious to the design choice for this latter mechanic (the tier set throttling)...

If you want to retain new players that are coming in with this new launch/announcement of land of dead, then you need to have catch-up systems that reward new blood for staying. ATM, the game is a grind-fest and forces new players to be fodder for the zerg-fest... and sit and grind for weeks to months, spending hours a day to inevitably catch up.

The only players that really stick around are those that played live and have nostalgia goggles on... most new blood who are trying this out for the first time are going to quit fast because the systems in place are unfavorable to retaining them.

The simplification of currency is great, they just need to fix the drop rate/amount you get... and also lower the cost of tier sets, and above all, Remove the damn throttling rule by forcing players to have to buy preceding sets.

Old veterans might bitch and moan that "oh we're rewarding casuals, blah blah blah, they need to bleed and earn their gear, we can't hand them free loot!"....
uhmm...yea you kind of want to, thats how you increase your playerbase and grow population, new player retention requires catch-up mechanics so they can compete and immediately get thrown into the fray with fellow high-levels.
Otherwise the population just stays the same... like its always been... the same pool of players never growing..

Do you give them BIS gear for free? no.... but you can provide methods to ease the manner in which they can accrue competitive gear so they're at least able to stand up at fresh 40.

Because as of now, a lot of fresh 40s are running around with incredibly low-level gear because the XP rates have been accelerated, but the token rates have not, and with this backwards gear throttling..... A lot of 40s that had logged out after a long time or are returning to check out the game are now in a worse spot then even new fresh level 1 players.

The gear sets were already locked behind renown requirements. Forcing people to buy the t1 set (vendor white gear is better), the t2 set (keepers set is far better) just to buy the t3 set (with no tokens since they all got deleted), was one of the dumbest things I've seen done to this game.

If you exp scroll from 16->40 im sure you'll have plenty of tokens.
If you run with a small 6-12 man guild you'll have plenty of tokens.

Any new players joining this game trying to rank up doing --
Scenarios mixed with any kind of pve? Good luck
Warband/pugging on the outnumbered side? Good luck

I must admit this patch hit my fresh new wh on the worst possible time. I was rank 39/rr57 in annihilator gear and rr39 sc weapons. I wanted to skip conq and directly buy vanq.
after the patch I didnt even have enough crests to buy even 3 pieces of conq.
so i played for a few evenings and I can now say that its not so bad as i first thought it is. Now im already in full conq and subjugator weapons and have 3 pieces of vanq. It only took a few evenings to get all this stuff, and im pretty sure that chars who start their journey now will have it so much easier than me, because they will have a truckload of medals when they reach rank 40 since the sets below 40 are really cheap now.

THIS. SO MUCH THIS.

The conversion rate was absolute crap, the rewards for actions are crap, the costs are too high, and the speed of leveling is too fast. It's literally ALL wrong. You want 1 currency, cool, go for it. Problem is, at the current state of things, you've screwed EVERYONE below invader. Forcing people to buy what they won't use is crap. Not counting some of the most used sets in the game, Beastlord and HV, which both required pvp last I checked, as on par sets to help new 40's progression is just a kick in the balls nobody needs. Population levels are about to drop across the board. I haven't logged in myself for over a week while awaiting some announcement or change. It's just not worth the time or effort. Total War 3 is currently more entertaining than the crap chute that is the state of RoR atm.
