So i hadn't played Ror for 9 months and all that. Kinda burn't out with gaming 24/7, but i did discover I had a lvl 80 GW2 account i had long forgotten about and had set up just after AoR closed down. It was the goto game, i guess for many Aor player, to try and get the same feels to replace AoR, but it never did how could it

But... It still doesn't quite have that special sauce or feeling that Mythic unintentionally wove into AoR and i had been thinking about that. What is it that makes RoR so special even 14 years from its release. Its certainly not as advanced, it has no real expansions (although loved the new cities on return and excited to see those woven into the gameplay) but it has a certain something that always pulls me back on a periodical basisand makes it my home game.
The only conclusion i can come up with is its you all, its the community Order and Destro. As a (DPS WE

Maybe its the sheer effort we all have to put in and the grind to get them to where we want to be, maybe its the slightly slower pace of the game where in an encounter you really know who you are fighting, maybe its the smaller scale of the world or the fact we get to pose and fashion hammer in the warcamps. I don't know but, whatever it is, its special and thankyou for all the continuing fights on the battlefield.
