How to gear a fresh dwDoK

I'm approaching level 40 currently 36/43 I plan to use scrolls till I ding 40 to get as much rr as I can.
That being said once I hit level 40 what are my goals to get geared? I want to play as a dwDoK. I want to practice even if I'm undergeared I understand I wont be landing on the moon as a fresh 40 but I want to be heading in the right direction while practicing the spec.

Here a really quick guide about dual wield DoK.

I'm not sure that it is up to date, but you can have an idea where to go.

Beastlord is a good first set and pretty easy to get. Maybe Dominator is a better alternative (SC Set), next Oppressor.

absolute best way to gear a dps dok is through pve

slap on a chalice since dps dok is really lacking while undergeared and run those dungeons you can be full endgame gear in 1-2 weeks
