Seriously, you are probably the person with the lowest IQ in this forum.wildwindblows wrote: Fri Apr 30, 2021 9:26 am
Dummy target test means nothing. Test it on Training Construct. And you will see that you ever never overdps a choppa.
You can believe what ever you want. I just share my experience with my rr86 endgame gear mara. Currently mara have lowest damage output compared to any other dps class. I compared sentinel ring(+54 melee power) + 50 melee power liniment + x5 warlord set (+99 melee power) / off sov+sentinel ring(+4 crit) + crit liniment and my test indicates that max crit change is better instead of melee power for mara.
If you really believe mara is overdps choppa no need to discuss who is stupid.

1. Best damage build is sav/brut but unfortunately stance dance doesn't worth. You need to stack x3 rend if you want to hit properly. There are a lot of skill to use in your rotation so stacking x3 rend make your rotation slower. It would be better if stance dance is promoted instead of stacking x3 rend.
2. You cannot use tactics like bf, flanking which increase your dps because you need to use gi,fof,pb and dc so clearly there is no spot.
3. Your armor debuff is nothing when target is guarded. Also, your damage is not scale well with gear and melee power like other classes. Because of low weapon skill, your parry is low compared to choppa and you are basically easy to kill.
4. Piercing bite only work for a few skill which require mutation. Your parry is already too low so you AA damage and other skills doesn't require mutation hits like wet noodle.
These are the reasons why you roll a choppa. (Marauder is the worst class in current meta. Even dps SW is much better than mara)
Cheers.
For solo go WE/Squig/shammy. Both choppa/mara can win only vs slayer in same quality player.
Both are rough for solo roaming. They can stand their ground against other melee classes, but as most solo roamers are ranged (especially on order), you will have hard time with no good/fast gap closer.
1. Can you say which dps class is stacking x3 same dot skill other than mara?Sundowner wrote: Fri Apr 30, 2021 11:21 amStop spreading misinformation please.wildwindblows wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 8:47 am Choppa is far better than mara. 1. Stacking dots is required only in ranked and max tryhard scenarios and almost every dps class needs to dot to deal considerable dmg. Mara is not exception.
2. Mara has no use for WS (explained later), hence capping STR with min/maxing is very easy.
3. Armor debuff of mara and WL (the same) is very, very good and gives huge advantage in armor stacking meta. For mara it is even better with PB (WL equivalent works only for aoe skills) and impale from behind. mara dmg scales the best with str and melee power, because it has higher ST dmg skills modifiers than other dps classes (with exception of WLs and mSHs CS/git em!, but this is only 1 skill with 10 sec cooldown). Your understanding of how WS and parry works is flawed. While flat parry increasers give +% to parry, WS checks against attackers STR with formula (WS/Attacker's STR)*7.5%, as most of dps with decent gear have softcapped str, parry difference due to ws of choppa and mara will be max 4% maybe, depends on spec).
4. Do you understand what effect additional 50% armor ignore gives? At least look at other mara's because you clearly are not really playing good if you think mara is in a bad spot.
In current meta only slayer is better dps than mara. But even slayer WBs can be countered with mara's with armor pen ignore, because slayers do not have flat armor debuff.
1. SW, Slayer, choppa, Shammie and AM needs 3 separate dots, WL needs 2 separate dots.wildwindblows wrote: Fri Apr 30, 2021 12:43 pm1. 2. I agree with you but dropping PB and stacking ws is much better because PB doesn't affect AA.
3. Mara and WL have same armor debuff but WL damage is much better than mara. What is the reason of this?
4. Same reason in 2nd matter.
1. Stacking x3 separete dots and x3 same dots are not the samething. Mara already have to stack debuffs and pressing x3 same dot really slows down the rotation.Sundowner wrote: Fri Apr 30, 2021 1:10 pm1. 2. No, if you are stacking WS on mara/wl you are cutting short your dmg potential, they both have very strong armor debuffs, which gives them very good AA dmg. Besides, you won't ever stack enough WS for that, because both WL and mara have low base WS. Besides, mara has 50% armor ignore on finisher and can do much more dmg than WL with cull the weak.
3. Mara's dmg is higher, because of higher stat multipliers and armor ignore on impale and finisher. WL has higher burst, not overall dmg.
