Out of curiosity - are you only talking about slayer/choppa now, or all classes?

it was out of all classes but the only reason that its like that is b/c mythic knew **** all about how to balance this game

Okay.. I would just have thought WL burst or atleast sorc/Bw was higher..

I remember in t1 and t2 slayers/choppas had awesome ST burst thanks to that 2h finisher + morale 1 combo. I believe it was possible to drop soft targets from 100% to near death if AA+finisher were both crit strikes.

Though no idea how its atm.

And as was said - all that choppa/slayer/bw/sorc talks are irelevant cuz - engi/magus

Wl had good burst provided kitten was around. Average damage over 10s was 10-15% lower compared to a Slayer even with the cat (provided i remember the numbers correctly).

it is a good class i suggest it for ranged and some up close contact

When you are talking about burst damage, then you check for the highest damage per second. The length of the time window is totally irrelevant.
SL can't match WL dps.

No doubt that SL had higher sustained dps.

There's a loading screen tip that says the best class is the one you enjoy the most.

The truth that anyone who's set foot into current T3 knows is that the best classes are slayer/choppa for mdps, bw/sorc for rdps, kotbs/chosen for tank, and wp/dok for healer.
