We got balance problem? Really?
Re: We got balance problem? Really?
Just to be clear. There is something you have missed on your list. And it is a jumping tank. When some1 asked for synergies... here you are - just example. What about "elven jumping unit"? WL + SM can simply jump on destro backline with strong ST burst, all you need is timing and communication, and dont tell me that every (just a bit more advanced) WB do not use discord. So you have access to have guarded dmg with huge ST burst in opponents backline in a second. I do not say taht this is all you need to win or it is OP. Just pointing out that there is more than just what is on your list.

What you said, Ekundu01, is the most accurate in my eyes.
If i hate something, thats undefendable and random pulls right into the death melee blob (choppa pulls), and other CC abilities, which do not trigger appropriate immunity ...
That is very bad design and needs to be changed.

Swordmaster's jump is a Morale 1 ability. Which means that not only do you need to build up to it, but it also means that you can't use Debilitating Strike (heavy armor debuff and mild dot) or Champion's Challenge (unbreakable root for 10 seconds on a target). AND it delays you getting to higher morales since you just used it.
Re: We got balance problem? Really?
I agree that it's a huge rabbit hole. But giving utilities arbitrarily isn't exactly an one size fits all solution either. I know Sorcs would kill for some half decent defensive cooldowns, when compared to other rdps let alone SH. Or at least some reward next to the high risk they comparably take, for example. (World of Warcraft took that to the extreme in MoP/WoD era, where everyone could do basically some of everything, in terms of utility)wonshot wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 1:53 pm But again everything has to be seen in the bigger picture, if we take the healdebuff away from slayer it will suffer in smallerscale, just for the sake of allowing more warband dps roles to take part of warband fights. And to take it away from slayer, choppa would have to get same treatment probably. It is just a rabbithole really hard to avoid.
Instead the Devs gave rSW a rework and a place to compete, internally, and bring something new to the table for Warband-Order, moraledrain and stacking aoe dots. I personally like this approach more than trying to take some of the tools away from the overstacked few order classes and give more variety to less meta classes, as we seen with AoE armordebuff WH, rSW.
And then hopefully keep walking on this trend, instead of giving overplayed WP a 4th build when there were classes in much more dire need of dev-attention.
Monstro armor ignore, Rampage, WindBlock, Funnel power etc etc. Unique skills we will probably keep hearing. But the two realms are different and this is not a Mage+Rogue+Priest 3v3 arena mirror. Use what you have, be aware of what the enemy can bring and accept that this will never be mirrored or "ballanced" of the same reason.
War is never fair, war is just war.
As far as the internal faction balance goes, if a class is always brought, because it brings everything the least it would warrant is a mastery reshuffle so that it has to choose between which the player wishes to commit to. Aoe Damage, St Damage or Utility, for example. It would be a hard nerf, but if it stiffles the competition, on it's own realm, then it's necessary and shouldn't be a mirrored change, unless it seeks to address specific shared features.
Re: We got balance problem? Really?
As all morales. True, but you have access to this and it is your advantage to make a pressure and make opponents to deal with it. Simple as that.Mystry wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 7:01 pm Swordmaster's jump is a Morale 1 ability. Re: We got balance problem? Really?
I like this idea. I think making a list of major abilities for each realm would help move the conversation forward as well as inform people of what their faction's strengths are and trying to play to those.
Just a few notes
Destro:
* Additional cooldown reduction also from BO (WAAAAAAGH! ability + Mor' Choppin' Dem' tactic)
* Heavy nuke 50% incoming healing debuff in form of Windblock. [Zealot]. Would mention it's AoE.
Order:
* Defense denier with Rampage [Slayer]
Both sides:
* morale pump & morale drain in a single ability every 10s [WH/WE]
* cooldown timer debuff [Slayer/SH]
Other notes:
I would not put IB self buffs, since they are not a major ability (i.e.: their well timed use can make or break an engagement). They are good buffs, but only affect 2 people in the party. If we were to list all differences the list would be huge (BG Heal and Absorb to give a few examples). Would say the same of Chosen heal debuff aura.

Black orcs need to have wings of heaven also just like swordmaster's so they can leap with their stabby SH's just like swordmasters can with their White lions.
Or maybe SH's should never have been given leap.

Re: We got balance problem? Really?
Nice list, pretty misleading post by OP.
I mean order morale drain mumbo jumbo is worthless since by the time order classes reach m4 destro already dropped his own m4 2x. Good attempt to try to display the factions as equal thou.
