Beginner question: Rubber banding out of Stonewatch?

SO, maybe this is a dumb question:
I'm level 17, moved on to ORvR from Nordland/Norsca.
I was in a Warband taking Kadrin Valley.
We moved on to Stonewatch, except I couldnt get into Stonewatch.
Every time I rode down the hill I kept getting put back at the top of the hill.
Is this just lag?
Is there some requirement I am missing?

No its simply the fort portal queue system.if you dont have reservation from zone lock you can go to the portal as you did and get a reservation by hittin the invisibile barrier that ports you back.After you hit the portal stop "rubber banding" or your reservation spot will be overwritten

Oh I see! That explains why after I got kicked from the Warband for not rallying on the leader in Stonewatch I later got a message saying a spot had been reserved.
