I played on Live from 2008-2010, and then I've jumped in and out on RoR since 2016. A HUGE thank you to all of those that have brought this game back.
I'm one of those freaky outliers that actually loved the PvE in this game when it was Live. I loved how progress in PQ's was integrated into the overall WAR, and I thought the progression on all racial storylines was interesting and well-paced. Although I feel like the PvP is WAY better now than it was on Live, it is my opinion that the PvE is worse...made so because of the mad rush to R40.
The re-spawn timers and the excessive XP rewards seem to be the biggest culprits to the experience...again IMO.
IS it harder to re-code the PvE? Or, has the focus of the RoR devs just always been on PvP?
One thing I'm curious about, and would like to suggest. Is it possible to bring back the pacing of the PvE leveling of Live--while maintaining the faster leveling of PvP to satisfy the majority of the current player-base? Or, maybe even a simpler solution, would be to give all Rank 1 players a Curse of Tzeentch to optionally equip, that would change their leveling pacing to more closely resemble Live--for the sole purpose of those of us that want to spend our time in PvE?
