Each of the order tanks is just plain no-fun bullshit to play compared to the gameplay of destro tanks.

Example:
You wanna buff your grp or just be tanky? No problem with BO: you can stand there forever playing HTL-Bot and AP-REG, buff your mates without target or while blocking or just use your complete OFF-Tree for tanking, why not you whot... and you look awesome. Then you switch to SM... there's no buffs without target, the only tank without any AP-generation, you're completely dependent on your stances to do **** or get buffs (block tactic)... You just run around being kited to **** trying to hit anything to just do your plain base job. Who the **** had the idea to connect your main Grp-Buff to your silence? Why do i need a target for all my **** blade enchantments *laughs in WAAAAGH and CHM buffing mah grp* And then you see your SM clip through each of his armors/shields... frustrating. For each of every "How-fun-is-this? LOL brrrrrrt"-moment with a destrotank there's minimum 1 "Holy-this-is-useless-and-frustrating"-moment for an order tank.

That you can follow through with BG vs. IB too... IB is so **** boring and lame to play compared to BG it's not even funny... holy **** half of my skills don't even deal damage and only block a GCD for that i just can jump around doing nothing... and thats for EVERY **** 10 SECONDS for 3-5 GCDs. You can play IB-Buffbot without even using 1 single damage dealing skill while taping permanently through your wb to max buff. Meanwhile BG goes BRRRRRRR in ST and AoE, numbers everywhere (even when fluff), pure enjoyment.

I played each and every tank for a while and everytime i log on order tanks i get bored out withing half an hour cause the gameplay of order tanks is sooooo much more frustrating and boring compared to Destro especially for the whole leveling time. I bet most order tanks get abandoned between lvl20-30.

You wonder why order melee is underpresented? FIx your god damn order tanks to actually be FUN TO PLAY and watch the melee participation of order rise automatically over time.
I have recently joined the server and I have been working on all three Order tanks....I enjoy playing them all. I have not even considered playing a Destruction toon of any kind. This makes me wonder if I am using my limited playing time wisely and would perhaps have more "fun" playing destro tanks........but then if everyone plays Destro.....whom would you fight against?

If you want to play a tank to mitigate, help your team, and be defensive then Order tanks are fine. If you want to DPS on a Tank then yeah, Destro has that.

This game has been "balanced" into a broken janky mess. Live had its issues but this has just become weekly power gaming with the flavor of the week while half the classes (mostly the order tanks) sit on the shelf with no love.

It really isnt any wonder why ppl hate tanking on Order.
Brynnoth Goldenbeard (40/80) (IB) -- Rundin Fireheart (40/50) (RP) -- Ungrinn (40/40) (Engi)-- Bramm Bloodaxe (40/83) (Slayer) and a few Empire characters here or there, maybe even an elf.

Considering how often I get stomped by order 2h tanks (all three), or 100% parry WH after KD, or slayer that ignore my parry etc. Even 'nerfed' WL still squish me, and I generally don't roll with less than 8.3k HP and -7 to be crit... order melee is fine. Hell, their ranged melee (aSW), I wish I had that burst.

The problem is, farming destro at any fort/keep is too tasty for order not to have a million ranged out and about. The price you pay for losing more cities, though that balance is not as one sided as it use to be as of late (read: order winning more than they use to). So yeah, you got it all. For almost any time period (EU, NA, PAC).

Perhaps order tanks are not fun for some, but I enjoy my snb knight as much as my snb BG, a plenty. As there is no replacement for RoR, I'll keep trudging through my alts, and sludging through these threads.
Chasing the golden carrot that is my alts.

I truly enjoy playing a defensive tank on Order.....I enjoy Ironbreaker, Swordmaster and Knight.....still sorting out which I enjoy most :-) I love playing Warhammer Online more than any other MMO I have ever played, and I have played them all :-) I just happen to be one of those people who would like to have the most fun I can during limited playing time. I do not have any insight into any Destro tanks other than what I read here and honestly I just want to play the "good" guys rather than the "Evil" guys.....lol.....I could never beat up a Dwarf......Dwarfs are my fav.......:-)

Sure, but Order has more tools to help their team and be tanky. Lets not pretend they dont.

Yeah, but you won't make people play tanks because they are good in wb setting, some solo/small-scale appeal should be there.

To anyone thinking that "having character on both side = xrealm": plz take your realm-pride somewhere else, adults are trying to talk here.

Beside, I'm sad that my impression was real. I love to play my IB/Slayer as much as my Choppa/BG. They are different classes, but all four need some tuning, though this isn't the point.
I saw many ppl complaining about Order tank being "boring" and asking for a buff. What I read is actually "boring = weak". If you REALLY think a class is boring you should ask for a rework, not a buff? Am I right?
I agree that Destru has wider choice to assemble his meleeball, but I don't really see a solution. A flat increase in Order melee damage would be pointless, the problem is the lack of AoE builds. mSH has both an AoE build and a ST build but aSW don't, for example. To create a new AoE build on single class would mean rework the entire class. And, honestly, who really want to see his class reworked after soo many year?

Okay then, both IB and SM have very good DPS specs. There ya go.
