SALVAGING WTF

I have searched the forums, uninstalled and re-installed the game three times trying to get Salvage to work.......it is not allowing me to salvage a magic item in my backpack:

The hammer icon appears when I click salvage option. The box opens when you try to salvage an item.
Says,
"Item can be salvaged into:
(But no details beyond this)"
The box is empty expect for "accept" or "cancel" button.
When accept option is selected - nothing happens and item is still in backpack.

Like I said, I have uninstalled game. Tried viny file (that a player suggested) but this did not fix the issue.

Would appreciate some type of resolution or advice.

No. nothing yet. Even found a few other posts complaining about this issue and a two bug reports....but have not seen any resolution

Is there a chance of just skipping the item? File a report on bug tracker if you like and continue with other items to salvage.

I am unable to salvage anything from my backpack..........NOTHING. I have filed a report on Bug tracker and found another report that another player filed as well. Literally the only thing I can salvage is the starting vendor salvage item......but that is not helping anymore.

I have no issues with Salvaging anything... Are you u have enough high lvl in Salvaging to salvage item? You should get message in chat from system, why u cannot salvage item.

did you use the installer or the torrent file?

I had the same issue using the installer. With the torrent version, which I unpacked into a normal new folder (not programs), salvaging worked. The torrent version also included more files and folders (cache folder etc.).

Or the Windows file security and access rights in the installation folder are incorrect. This can be the case if you install it in the windows standard programs folder with the installer.

I tried installer and torrent file install. Also the things I am trying to salvage are green and show a 90% or better chance to salvage.
