In my opinion this should be stated based upon shorter fights like the ones you encounter in small parties/warbands or in open RvR.
I don't know for everyone else but in cities I have :
- a specific set of tactics
- a specific gear (even if I run a bunch of tests

- a specific build of Mastery Point
But I can't run these in open RvR, Scenarios, Roaming parties or Solo just because it would'nt be useful or purely sucks.

Sorry if you misunderstood what I tend to say the first time due to my bad english, hope it's much clear right now.

Above, people wrote that in the city they sometimes even cannot leave the respawn. I don't think that the game should have a specific build of a specific class for a specific style of play (and as I understand it, you want to return that specific bomb style that leaves no chance from the first seconds of the battle?). I might agree that Choppa should have a block/parry break, but you should understand that such a feature should satisfy risk/reward philosophy. That is, even BW/Sorc can burn themselves to the ground while standing in relative safety.
Found the video I was talking about earlier. It's good that this state of affairs does not affect the overall picture, because as far as I remember, the GTDC in the form that it existed appeared precisely on the 6x6 balance. Although this is where in my opinion it is least useful (from 1:50).

We both agree on this point : I hate to have to switch for one set/build/template to another for a specific part of the game, and thus imho cities shouldn't enter he equation of balance at all. For what it is worth, I think choppa and slayer were fine and pretty good mirrors. Not sure if GTDC has been nerfed that significantly, but it was probably one of the strongest abilities in the game pre-nerf.
Maybe I am a poor player, but always thought choppa/slayer were the strongest mdps, there was not much between them and depending on how easily GTDC can be defended, that's still the case.
TBH, I expect this is more to do with choppa's superiority over other classes and not slayer.

Choppa has better burst damage and group synergy/abilities, Slayer has better sustain damage. Both usually top the damage charts which is the way it should be with their mechanic, very little between them right now. Choppa is the most popular class on Des side, Slayer not so popular, probably because Des have a lot more melee and Tanks so levelling and playing a Choppa is easier at lower tiers, whereas Slayer you get focused and melted in around 2 seconds while the rest of your side sit pack and pew pew with all the Engi, BW and SW not pushing forward with you.

That's why the replacement proposal is about a longer CD (so no spam) and that can be cleansed skill.
By the way could you give me the names of these Choppas if you can remember so I can have a talk with them ? I'm really triggered about this. Thanks a lot.

Heard about Power through tactic? No more rage drop
And what about fierce might? +10% critical damage for every 10% of HP you have lost
Try berserker slayer + spammable Inevitable doom + jagged edge + retribution + rampage and see the "OP" destro melee train melt.
If destros can kill without rampage, why order cant?
And a lot of people said rampage is not even good so i ask: so... why 100% slayers i see are using rampage?
