You run the update via RoRpatcher.exe (non admin mode), which will then go to a 100% and open up the Launcher (as admin) automatically. You then have to wait a bit untill it starts downloading (this can take a while for it to start, took me like 5 minutes before anything happend). Once its done manifesting/updating etc. you wait until the connect button turns yellow (can also take a while), which means you´re ready to play.

If this somehow doesnt work for you, check your folders settings and deselect read-only.

Hope this helps.

Any luck? I'm having the exact same issue and trying what Kysaro suggested didn't help. It just keeps closing after it updates.

This happened to me. Couldn't figure out what it was since I played a bit before the Land Hurricane hit me in Iowa. Kept clicking update, and then it would go to 100%, every time, and very fast with no show for updating, and then nothing. It would close out and nothing.. at all.

I deleted, re-dled and moved it to a new hard drive and same thing happened. Then it hit me, turn off your virus scan. Turned of Kaspersky and, BOOM, I'm downloading and verifying as we speak... err as I type. Try that, that is was it was for me. I had the same issue as you.
