never the less it proves my point that the class is strong and that your point about it not taking on casters/healers is false
Show me a Silence ability, please... U cant ;P

It could DEBUFF casters, but, not even close to a true caster-killer like WE/WH. Not even light-years close. Not even in the same universe.

The class u praise as Caster-Killer has 2 debuffs for them, and just can, as much as a SM or a KoBS can, kill weak classes when specced DPS, with the benefit of the shield to block things. The willp stat debuff itself is miserable when compared with the resist+tough debuff that a KoBS throw on them, stats that, also, are way lower by base in casters.

I may be an old player and i may not know too much about patchs, as i recognize often, but still know something on maths. 75 willp debuff (base of 3x stacked Mind Killer that need to be landed on ur target) vs 75 tough debuff+118 resist debuff (that just need to be placed in range of them, no need to spend a single AP in them). Wonder who has better chances to destroy a caster.

It has its group utilities, and as much a SM it has a lot of usefull tools to work on enemies for ur party to DPS them or work better, buffing them, but its way far from the glorified try u did in ur previous post, WAY, WAY, WAY far.

I'm definitely no expert (only got to maybe level 30 on retail, can't remember a damn thing about the game) but from what I've read, BGs are more of a heavily armored DPS class. Not nearly as much deeps as a true DPS class, obviously, but it was meant to be played with damage as the primary goal with the bonus of a shield and plate mail. I also hear what you've been saying; they're not the best at what they do, probably because they're a kind of a hybrid class that doesn't particularly excel at anything. But, boy, are they fun to play (imo). :D

It's almost like we's and wh's are classes that need to quickly kill classes and therefore have tools to pick off lone targets quickly while bgs have abilities that are strong when paired with other classes almost as if this is a team game and not one based on dueling or 1v1

Who'd a thought right?

BG:
* More DPS than a KOTBS
* Contrary to what a lot of players are saying; if you spec'd well, you could take any healer (a very good healer would be difficult). I recall a few back on live who could do just that. KOTBS couldn't kill a semi-competent healer.
* Look cooler

How?

BG don't have strength aura, don't have Runefang tactic. BG can't be detaunted - that's true, but that's not enough, because if you want to kill someone - you should spec everything in strength, take Focused Offence....and die just when someone give a cough in your direction.

I'm not sure why people would bother putting a shield on a KoTBS

If you're new to the KoTBS then stick close to your main healer, and wait for witch elves to pop out of stealth. Hit "On your guard!" and unload every bit of CC you have on the witch elf. Keep her snared, and keep her ineffective.

Thats basic level tactics.

Debuffs add up with various -wounds, - tough, - armor, -parry/block, +crit chance after using hate and while Bg dosnt have str aura crushing blow gives almost as much + str as aura (atm str aura gives 30 something, crushing blow gives 20 something)

Runefang is an imba tactic that gave too much with too easy of a requirement if nothing atleast Bg is balanced

Also Lel at Templar wanting to gimp the best defensive tank in the game and furthermore thinking that we's will attack a grp directly to kill a healer, they kill solo players or join in on the melee train .
That is also basic tactics that every veteran knows

This is a bit offtopic, but do channeled moves like "Enraged Beating" or "Ether Dance" still cancel out Autoattacks? I remember a time (before 1.3.8 where I quit) that people actually avoided using those skills because they would be a dps-loss when compared to spamable skills + autoattacks.
I just wondered if this still is the case and anyone knows.
