This IMHO is miles better then having players avoiding RvR up to RR60 and make all PVE gear more or less usless losing all the SpArKly options that made ol'lady WAR
I like the customized options of mixing PvE with RvR sets. DP/Conq was one of them, Sentinal/Conq another. Tyr/Sov saw me through RR 81-90 in various combinations.
Also, there are people who enjoy PvE, sadly to say in my old age I am too. There has to be a tangible reward and since this is (WAR) an RvR game, PvE gear should be allowed to mesh with RvR gear and compliment each other.

Yep loved it myself .. options and the fact that PVE followed RvR gear step by step. The design of the X piece bonuses of anni also made that set fairly strong and more useful that one might think at first sight. Was so much to combine and use PVE sets & items, Lair items, T4 Influence items, Purplies and blue from city stages and bags (even PQs), RvR progression gear, RvR end gear, world drops, Quest items

The stuff I wish they'd done a bit differently is stuff that removed options as they were significantly more powerful then others of same type, SC weapons, LOTD bugged, LOTD jewellery sets, DF/WF, jewellery (83+). So end gear 90-100 we all had same **** it was so lame compared to the richness of 1.3.X -LOTD

If these items had been properly scaled they could have coexisted enhanced instead of replaced making the game 10x more interesting. I think most of us would grind SCs to get a weapon just slightly better then influence one or possibly a weapon with a different stat set up. Slap on a bit of feathers and bling bling and most of us would want it anyway just to strut around in lake and look all that

Wouldn't doubt that annihilator vs sov is better balance than warp vs sov , damage are a ton less, but remember that was even due to old renow system. A 50 lv difference now with ppl that came from official and 5 set difference........there's no chance that some newby can make it.
I still think somehow a better t3 cap would be required to either make t4 gap less but either not allow ppl on t3 to farm others.
Anyway how 1.4.0 tiers were organized ( with rats/book/ppl roll stomp other in t3/etc) should be avoided.

They only thing i complain of the old system about equip was how weapons and jewerly were recived. You had to look for them inside dungeon or, city istance from purple bags which gave you some nice stuff or there where those tome jew from hidden quest. With new cap they become all useless.... that was sad, if at least those tome jew could scale with your level they would always being a nice alternative to renow equip.

You gone in city/fortress (citadel) even to make better gear, not only to make some empty istance. They just turned city istance in a ordinary sc, it was all centered around that before there were pride, fight and rewards.

About pve stuff they are not perfectly match, Tyran is better than warlord but badder than sov. Tyran should be scaled better with warlord. Cos it's the invader/dark promesis set required to do tovl not warlord


if indeed as nalgol said you want bring t3 into t4 ( or implements things that make those zone contribuite to t4) well...i cannot explain my love for you all. All what increase rvr experience and bring more ppl togheter is nothing to look down.

That is the thing the game was designed for Anni vs Sov fights so it worked pretty well. The outcry of the population came with 1.4 when TTK from a DF/WF group got out of hand as they didn't know how to scale gear/power

But it isn't 6 sov dudes stomping 6 Anni guys. There are multiple wbs with many player of varying RRs on both sides. This is why it works. Not all can be RR80 and get gear for free.

There has to be "beasts in end gear" that can fck a 6man of inexperienced players from taking a keep. Why cause that guy has played more has better gear and know more. Those guys in Anni adapt get better or find a game matching what they want. WAR by no means was a free ride and those inexperienced players in better gear would loose regardless

Agree there really should have been sc weaps/jewels/pockets and medallion ones as well. The just need to be at par with other pve stuff complementing them not replacing everything as they was made to strong
