Error Downloading updater

Hello! I'm attempting to install the game. I'm following the Installation Guide and I get to the part where it says
"Now the ReturnOfReckoning-March2020 folder is on your desktop right?"

Well, its not on my desktop, so I go to my Downloads page and click on RORLauncher, enter my login and password, and then I click on "Update" and I get the following Error Message. Please help. Thank you very much.

Well, after much diligent searching in my download files, I finally found RORLauncher.exe. It is now slowly updating 172,454 files. After an hour, its up to 402 files, only 172,000 more to go. I think something is wrong here, but I don't know what.

Yes there something wrong. Did you even read the instructions

Fist issue remove write protect on all game files and subdirectories.
When starting the launcher make sure it’s in the game directory
