[SW] Glass Arrow

Sorry dude but nobody wanted SWs in their wb before the patch if they could help it, and even right now ppl just want 1 for the morale drain.

i've been playing SW and having a blast for the last few months. I've never been refused a warband because of them. Infact i get invited frequently. Even if there was a bad reputation surrounding a class, any player who thinks a class does more than the player behind it is the problem, not the class with the bad reputation. These changes are nothing but PR and actually hurt the class way more. SW damage was fine, the range was fine in scout and WAS fine in skirmisher. Now one of the ranged classes order side has had one of it's range options REMOVED. and the only thing they got in it's place is more aoe tacked onto a now 65yard attack, and armor pen tacked on to the other 65yard abilities. Any SW who closes to 65 yards to use these "buffs" are now a worse liability to their warband. SWs are being relegated to single target with these changes.

These are not buffs.
These are nerfs.

If reliably ending up top in the scenario for damage is a nerf I'm sure destro SH will be happy to get that kind of nerf too.

community cried for dmg, they got it. nothing is free( except some free game )
perhaps they wanted both dmg and range. On the kiting class.

good to see them understanding value of distance and gap making skills.
RKD back on core, that alone is buff.

wb slot is... complicated.
I personally think it's issue of bomb meta effecting non bomb classes.

non bomb wb need super extra coordination to beat bomb, while bomb is low effort high risk against non bombs.
in this meta, non aoe are considered weak.
to fix this, make every class bomb. or fix bomb meta or both.

it wasnt 100ft, it was 65 and 97ft if you wasted the tactic slot. Which means you still had to be careful. Especially if there were any diskbros around. I want the class to go back to the way it was.
It was fine. I don't care how many people repeat the meme that "sw sucks!" 90% of those people have never played it, and the few who did didn't like it and bailed on it without giving it a proper chance. I'm sure if your maxed out at 40 and only log in to do city and the nascar forts then these changes seem amazing. But for the other 90% of the game, these are terrible changes for SW.

Narrowing the game down to suit only the end game always worsens the game in the long run. They ruined wow by trying to balance everything around arena, and you will ruin warhammer if you try to balance all of pvp around city or "the meta".

Where were you when they cried about 'dmg sux'.
not that you have to be forum warrior all the time to engage forum warriors
but how would devs know it was ok if you go silence saying I don't care.

IMO, scout was ok-ish. skirmisher needed something. assault bit OP.
skirmishers got dmg buff and morale drain + aoe wb tool.
you may think short range is nerf.
but
wb play means mandatory guard and heal. short range is not a problem, ask BW.

I think skirmisher is now WB aoe tree. scout for solo. assault for small scale.

every trees good at every scales, that's dream balance.
stick to 1 build and accept consequences that you are not built for other area
or
change build b4 incoming battles.
your choice.

fyi, i'm former and solo. orvr have every scales mixed. It's doable.

I can understand SW's who find this as a nerf due to range but I encourage you to consider your kit now and get a lot of experience under your belt before you post a public opinion.

Things to consider:
You are now shorter range with the aoe tactic, you will need a guard to do your job.
Your damage potential is much, much, much higher. You are probably worth the guard.
Are you having trouble getting value from your aoe Spiral-Fletched Arrow because if the first target dodges or blocks, the skill doesn't aoe? That's a very large problem and in my opinion is the first thing that needs to change in some way.


As a sidenote, a lot of people would prefer you being shorter range. It means you have to operate closer to your tank and guard range isn't so much of a hassle.

If it is felt as a nerf or a buff is (for me ) secondary to how the playstyle is affected in the process of buffing or nerfing. Current iteration has dumbed down the playstyle to the point you could just pick a BW in the first place and perform better in all areas (except mdps ofc)
