Why not just play on the side that isn't terribly overpopulated and get a city regularly?

Is it not obvious that the choice of fraction is independent of the population. Unless for the weak in spirit, but they are already xrealming)

Is it not obvious that if some of us would still play our destro mains, you wouldn't have anyone to fight against?

My suggestion is: if you haven't contributed to the war effort, you shouldn't be allowed in the city. This way u avoid realm swappers, alt swappers and so on. Many-a times I've noticed ppl forming groups for cities before the city is even open. I mean I'm trying to win a fort while u just reap the rewards safe in the city, making your nice WB?
Get on your main, kill some opposition and maybe u get in the city. Not afk and just free currency.

The population of each side changes over time. When I joined, Destro was consistently the underpopulated realm.

Destruction has always been the overpopulated side. Its just xrealmers who mostly have des mains were switching sides to push the campaign back and forth. Now with cities they all log their des mains for city.

When Forts were re-implemented, destruction was loosing most of them, and once the main caracters were geared with invader, they came back on destruction (and it became a bit more equilibrated)...
and then more and more players, so more and more orders and destru but more on destru side because... orders helmet sucks?

I'm glad there are others that have intact long term memory. The Order zerg when forts went live on RoR was insane. "Destro has always been the overpopulated side" - What a joke of a comment coming from someone that supposedly has been on this server for years according to the number of posts and registration date on your profile.
