how do i get higher contribution on city as dps??? i usually stay at top 3 dps and kill on my side and get very low contribution, how does it work?

From my own experience as an aoe dps that usually end top3 in damage done and with a healthy killingblow ratio,
You will pretty much always place low on contribution rolls as the damagedone contribution is shared between anyone else who did aoe damage to the kills.

That means,
if your 8 DPS-players are all dealing about the rough same damage contributing to the criticalmass, none of you will stick out, however whatever damage your parties will take will be up to the tophealers to soak up and you will see tanks and healers be on top of the contribution scores for heavy aoe instances. Where as singletarget DPS might climb higher if they are still near where the killing of the big mainforce dies, for getting in on that killing-contribution range that was increased a month ago.

Basicly aoe damagedealers are getting pretty **** for contribution, just because it was massively overtuned on week1 and hasnt been changed since.

From my own testing when I decited to test in pure soloQ instances, if I come in and MASSIVELY out perform the killing and damagedown in a pug vs pug instance I can contribute high enough difference to secure a good placement pre random roll. But if I join with a premade team who will all attribute pretty much equally to the killing, my archtype role is getting **** on.

24/24 player queues I average oné (1)whitebag per instance(!) and have had a total of 5 goldbags since week2 of city launch. :roll:
3/24 player queue I average 10+crests from bags alone win or lose if i pug with a trinity trio. So the system promotes me to pug instead of going with a 24man premade atm.

Imho get rid of the contribution roll and just keep the random roll in for city, the victory is shared amongst all the players in the instance and its a team effort.
